BREGUET'S EXCLUSIVE CELEBRATION OF THE LEGION OF HONOR'S EXHIBITION "BREGUET: ART AND INNOVATION IN WATCHMAKING"
San FranciscoSeptember 16, 2015. Renowned watch brand, Breguet and its President & CEO, Mr. Marc A. Hayek, honor its 240th anniversary this year with a milestonethe largest exhibition of Breguet timepieces ever to be shown in the American continent. "Breguet: Art and Innovation in Watchmaking" will open at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco on Saturday, September 19, 2015 and run through January 10, 2016. Part of the museum's regular 2015-2016 programming, it is arguably the most expansive collection of timepieces by a single brand ever to be curated by a major art museum. On the evening of Wednesday, September 16th, an estimated 300 guests of Breguet C members of the press as well as friends of the brand from across the U.S., Asia and Europe C were invited to the Legion of Honor to preview the exhibition "Breguet: Art and Innovation in Watchmaking" at an exclusive evening gala. The evening began with guided tours of the exhibition by curator Martin Chapman, curator at the Fine
Interesting...
These are the watches with the patches on the sub-dials commemorating the various space missions (Gemini, Apollo, and Skylab). I believe it's ref. 3599.99...not 100% though. I know the 1/40 complete cases of 23 are selling for $150,000 USD plus. What about as stand-alone pieces? Any value?

Visit to HSWA in NYC
I stopped by HWSA again today to drop off a vintage piece that needed servicing. It's a simple 2-hand manual movement.I got a quite a chuckle out of the staff claiming that they have service turnaround times somewhat under control now stating that std complications with auto movement have 26weeks TA while manuals have 21weeks TA In addition, I cannot believe they were proud to say that each turnaround no longer has a 16week additional delay on top of the std turnaround times making each 42weeks and 37weeks WTF I thought about asking for Patrick who is the service director there, but half of me said why bother knowing they would pitch the same BS story and excuses. My patience and loyalty for the brand are really on thin ice.
Close up on 114060 w/ Rubber B strap
So just switched my oyster bracelet to a rubber b all black for my 114060. Wasn't sure at the beginning, but can't stop thinking about the OF on Daytona WG. So went to my local rubber b dealer and got them switched. Couldn't be happier! The sub looks like another new watch, been wearing them these couple of days ..
