Forged Carbon Diver or ROO Chrono?
I am considering a plunge back into AP. I have owned 3 AP's in the past SS Diver, Volcano, and 15400. All three are gone but I am getting the AP bug once again. Between the FC Diver and the new Style 42mm ROO Chrono's which do you gents prefer?
Scratched dial on new Patek
Bought a Patek 5167 last week from my local AD. It was brand new and sealed fresh from the factory.Over the weekend I noticed a very faint but long scratch on the dial. It's only visible from certain angles and under very strong light. It runs from near the 4/5 o'clock hour markers all the way up through the last P in PHILIPPE and finishes near the 12 o'clock marker.I'm just wondering what I should do. Whether I should return the watch or just get used to it. I don't really want the watch to be gone away for a long time and I definatly don't want PP to polish or scratch the case or anything like that. I've had small, faint scratches on a couple of Rolex dials which never bothered me so just wondering what you guys would do in my boots please. Here's a couple of photos. It was very difficult to photograph under a magnifying glass and I could only capture parts of the scratch. Thanks for looking.
Second Watch Thoughts
I purchased my first Rolex a couple of months ago (stainless GMT II) and I'm looking for my second. I'm leaning towards a black sub but wondered what people's thoughts are on owning two watches that look so similar? Thanks
VERSUS: Stainless Steel and Two-Tone Datejust
Thirteenth edition of the VERSUS post/picture. What is VERSUS? Well, I thought it would be fun to compare two watches (and only those two watches) and discuss pros/cons by outlining the differences and getting folks' ideas/thoughts/opinions on TRF. We got folks here that have been collecting and studying these things for decades all the way to those who are just starting to venture into the crazy world of Rolex (and everyone in between). Therefore, it would be fun and educational! For this edition, we have a showdown of the classic Datejust. These are semi-modern references and the two most common configurations; the stainless steel reference 16234 and two-tone reference 16233.Which do you prefer and why?Previous VERSUS:1.
