The tourbillon hasn't exactly become ubiquitous, but there's an argument to be made that it may be, just a bit, a victim of its own success. To put it more exactly, the tourbillon may be a victim of the success of modern precision manufacturing methods, which have made it possible to produce tourbillon wristwatches that can be priced almost unbelievably inexpensively, relative to the prices the complication used to command. However, if there is one almost universally valid truism in mechanical horology nowadays, it's that it's not so much what you do as how you do it, and how Jaeger-LeCoultre did tourbillons – and continues to do them – is a microcosm of the evolution of the tourbillon, and the hopes we might have for its future. Rubber strap - AP vs AP Bands?
I want to buy a rubber strap for my 42mm ROC. I have worn the genuine AP rubber strap on my Rubberclad but would like to hear from people that have tried the AP Bands version. Is it inferior or essentially the same? Comfort is my main priority.
AP 15400 Rose Gold on Bracelet Clasp Question?
I just pulled the trigger on my first AP and have a question for the experts out there. There seems to be two different clasps on the AP Royal Oak Rose Gold on Bracelet model 15400OR.OO.1220OR.01. If anyone can explain why I would greatly appreciate the help. I don't finalize the purchase tell Monday and the watch will be shipped next day. 18k Gold Constellation pictures
