John Isaac Geneve Rough Sea Watch
New watch brand John Isaac Geneve is serving up some more than decent timepieces that play Frankenstein with some of your favorite brands. They seem to particularly like playing house with Patek Philippe and Franck Muller, though JeanRichard makes an entrance pretty often. The brand's debut collection features a range of pieces for both men and women. Their diver is called the Rough Sea and comes in three dial colors. Each of the brand's watch cases are elliptical in shape. They bring to mind the iconic Patek Philippe Ellipse watch. Though the Rough Sea case is more Patek Philippe Aquanaut in design with some JeanRichard Diverscope in the mix. You can see more of the Diverscope in John Isaac's Grand Prix chronograph watches. The mixture of design elements and famous watch styles is rather satisfying actually. Seeing those Franck Muller numerals (that actually originated before Franck Muller was around. I recall seeing them on early 20th century Patek Philippe watches) mixed with Patek el
Maybe not for me...
I took out my 15300 out of the bank today, I am going to Zurich tomorrow and was planning on leaving it to my AD to make the service, it's unworn but sitting in safes since 2009, made the oils dry up and it needs a service. But I have been looking at it and feeling it for one hour now, and can't explain why but I am a little underwhelmed, I thought it was perfect as my 3 PP are ultra thin, and my AP diver extra thick, to have something a little thicker, I don't know why but I am not impatient to be able to wear it, to be honest it's not that I don't like it, but can't say it does something to me.When I saw the Jumbo I really found it awesome, while the 15400 didn't touch me in the slightest.I think I won't do the service, will leave it untouched in the safe, and probably sell it to finance a piece later on that I really want, for now there is nothing on my radar, well there are watches I love, but way to expensive for'me at the moment.I need to see the Jumbo again, if I really love it a
Pricing a used SuperOcean Steelfish X Plus help needed!
I bought a SuperOcean Steelfish X Plus and it came with the Prof 1 series bracelet on it 6 years ago. It is way to big for my wrist IMO. Great watch but just don't want it anymore as I went back to a Sub.My question is after looking they have been discontinued and a quick check of Ebay shows bids from $1200 to over 2K on them so I need to know what I should price mine at?I have all the boxes, paperwork, and links that were took off to fit my wrist.I bought the watch NIB from Authentic Watches. It has a dated and stamped warranty card however I now know this is considered a grey market watch and there will be no serial numbers that go with it. How much will that effect the value?Any help would be welcome. Thanks,James
3rd PAM Incoming! (Video link)
I was transiting through Dubai Airport on Friday morning when I happened to come across their 25% sale 😊. I simply had to take advantage of the offer and picked up a PAM320 for $6600! I'm so happy with this model as I didn't have a GMT model in the collection as yet. I've previously owned a 104 and 111.Here's the video:youtu.be/bT0FvBRUZUMHappy viewing!
New Pepsi Really a Raspberry
I have not handled one, but I have seen tons of pictures side by side.I dont like the blue which is purplish, nor the red which is pinkish. The bezel looks like a raspberry and does not deserve to be called the Pepsi. I will not be a taker of this watch until Rolex gets the colors right.
