Hands-On: With The Girard-Perregaux 1966 Full Calendar In White Gold (Live Pics, Specs, & Pricin
The 1966 line from Girard-Perregaux is easily the purest from this manufacture of haute horlogerie. But it can perhaps be overlooked, considering GP's attention-grabbing, truly cutting-edge masterworks like the 2013 GPHG-winning Constant Escapement LM. While tri-axial tourbillons and triple bridges are fun to read (and write) about, it's not necessarily what the average watch lover looks for in an everyday timepiece. All of the quotes suggesting there may be a conflict of interest seem to arise from questions or emails from the reporter. Anyway I thought it was an interesting follow-up to the more laudatory article I posted earlier. Note that, according to this article, Olympic officials and not Omega employees perform the actual timing.August 21, 2008By Withholding Photos, Olympic Timekeeper Draws Attention to Relationship With PhelpsBy JER LONGMANBEIJING After a week of arriving at the finish earlier than anyone else, Michael Phelps arrived fashionably late for a public appearance at the Omega Pavilion on Wednesday, grabbed a chocolate chip cookie on the sly and put his finger to h

Ahhh after all the snow we've had dumped on us I thought of this symphony of watches to remind myself that spring is hopefully inevitable....Winter - icy cold and primal Spring - refreshing, crisp, energizing and rebirth!Summer - blazing heat and blinding sunny glory!Fall - all colors, cool breezes and qarm sweaters and walks in the park! Now of course I jut wear them whenever I like :) but thought it would make a nice little symphony of pics from my lineup! Feel free to share your own if you care!
