Dievas Shadow Review
Since we started w&w, Dievas has been a brand we've kept an eye on. They don't come out with new products that often, but when they do, they tend to be interesting. Since the release of the very popular Vortex model, they've been on a tactical watch kick that recently reached an apex with the introduction of super-hardened steel cases. By making this step into the world of over-engineered super-tough watches, they've gotten into the territory of brands that typically cost quite a lot more. Their newest watch, the Shadow, not only offers high end components and machining that earns the "Made in Germany" label, it has a look that is altogether unique, balancing the sinister dark of a phantom with the legibility of fluorescent markings and hands. After a couple of hours . . .
fiddling with spring bars (curved and straight), the FOIS is again dressed for the heat and humidity of the Georgia summer:I wish Omega would make end pieces for the ref. 1125 bracelet that would line up with the lug holes of the FOIS. That would make for a simple fix.

5712 dial and movement observation
Does anyone else find it strange that of all the PP's that have used the 240 movement to create the power reserve/moonphase/small seconds asymmetric layout that the 5712 has (these include 5055, 5054, 5015, 5085 Neptune) the only one that can be deemed a success in terms of high resale and hard to come by etc is the 5712. The others I would actually rate as some of the least popular PP's from the last couple of decades.Just begs the question..... is the 5712 really an ugly duckling and only hard to get because it's in a Nautilus case??

Looking to get back into panerai
So I'm finally looking to get back into a panerai after wearing nothing but rolex for a while. I previously had a 000 and ended up selling it as I didnt particularly love it and consequently didnt wear it much. My options at the moment are1) A use 3272) brand new 424 (no date)3) brand new 4254) used 243I personally much prefer the radiomir case shape as its closest to the old military panerais and sits flatter against my wrist, but I also really liked the 327 (surprisingly I found it more comfortable than the 000). My worry with the 327 and the radiomirs are that they only really look good on leather....so during summer it'd be difficult to wear them a lot as I am often in the water and I sweat a fair bit. I dont like the look of the submersible as much as the others but being auto and with date function it'd be more versatile. I've also tried on a 305 but found it pretty big and couldn't get a nice fit with the stock rubber strap...Which would you go for? Also what's everyone's experi
