Yesterday, I attended a very nice family wedding, which of course is not typically news for the blog, but this time there are a minor detail that sparked a worthwhile mention. The groom, who I had met for the first time on the day of the wedding, instantly impressed me, making me feel extra good about his entrance into the extended family. The reason for my quick fondness was the fact that he was wearing a rare watch that I owned as well. Of course, I could not dismiss his impeccable demeanor which might have also had something to do with my approval.Surely you are each aware of my rich capacity to continually discuss the German Marcello C. brand of watches. Having a few of these excellent timepieces, I realize that ownership of a Marcello C watch is a rare treat. There just aren't that many of them out there, and in the US you need to be actually looking for the watch to find it. Loving this 3570.50 that i got from a member of canwatchco, a Canadian watch forum. We dont have an omega boutique where i live and it was my first time seeing an Omega in person when it arrived today! I have to say i like it more than I thought i would...which is crazy because i liked it a lot in pictures. I really enjoy wearing the 116719 blro with all its heft and shine - but this speedmaster actually feels like love at first sight ;). Sad that i never gave this watch a chance until now.

Was wondering when one of the blogs would do a piece about this model.I've seen the advertisement with Clooney wearing it, but didn't realize it had the line George Clooney's Choice. Not a fan of celebrity attachments to watches, but at least it's not stamped on the watch, or called something terrible like the Clooney Limited edition. I guess they could have done a lot worse when it comes to brand ambassadors.Still haven't had time to check out the bracelet version, but I think it looks great in pictures..ablogtowatch/omega-sp...vintage-watch/

I made a little purchase to tide me over till I can get that grail Ceramic Daytona! The next best chrono out there! It definitely has the same magic the Submariner has when you put it on. Blasphemous I know but its good to mix brands up once in a while!
