15450 availability/considering a pre-owned silver face
Hi guys - please excuse my ignorance (new to AP) but am wondering if the current scarcity issues extends to the 15450. I am considering an I serial silver face for approx $15.5k (full set) but would happily pay a bit more if I stood a reasonable chance of getting one new in a reasonable time frame. Would prefer blue dial but realize that may be unobtainable right now. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks!
Hello aquanaut
Well I caved. Here is my 5167A courtesy of George at govberg. Thanks to ken for the help and of course George for the excellent service. Better pics will come in due time : )

WG Pepsi 116719BLRO Now exclusive
In my humble opinion Rolex have made a genius move here and have made a huge gesture to owners of the previous WG Pepsi! Why? Few reasons - 1. Interest in the new Pepsi steel will be similar - if not more intense - than the ceramic Daytona and equally as difficult to get hold of, making the old model with black dial much more desirable, albeit in precious metal.2. The black dial will only be available on the new steel jubilee or on the dis-continued 116719. 3. It looks way better on the Oyster bracelet and buying WG will be the only way to own it on one (for now anyway).4. A relatively short and limited run of 116719BLRO will make it a collectors piece - further enhanced by the desirability of the new and scarcely available steel model.5. The RED time zone hand has been removed from the new WG with blue dial version making the old version with black dial unique.Time will tell but I think current owners of the 116719BLRO should be rubbing their hands together. Keep either new BLNR or 2009 16610 Sub date
I managed to get my hands on a new BLNR today from my AD. I now have to make the decision to either keep it and give my Dad my 2009 Sub or keep Sub and let him have the BLNR.I love them both it's 50 50 would love to hear what anyone else would do ?Keeping both is not an option unfortunately.
