Orbita Casetta Gets Rotorwind System
Orbita’s Casetta watchwinder is now available with their patented Rotorwind System. The Casetta is available as a free-standing module or housed in a Brazilian Rosewood case with a high-gloss lacquer finish. The suede-lined cases are fitted with gold-plated quadrant hinges and a beveled glass viewing window. The modules can be stacked vertically or placed side by side for multiple watches, and they require no external power – lithium batteries provide a guaranteed battery life of 5 years. The module itself is covered in Camel or Black synthetic suede and finished with a brushed stainless steel rear panel. Inside a Swiss-designed ironless core motor initiates the oscillating winding action of the Rotorwind System, which is entirely self-regulating. Every 10 minutes throughout the day, the built-in microprocessor activates the servo motor causing the watch to swing back and forth for several oscillations, as if it were being worn on the wrist. The Casetta Module measures 5-1/8&
Tissot 17th Asian Games Incheon 2014 Limited Edition Watches
While Omega has the Olympics, fellow Swatch Group brand Tissot has the Asian Games (aka the Asiad). The 17th Asian Games will take place this year in the South Korean city of Incheon September 19th - October 4th, 2104, and will be sponsored by Tissot as the official timekeeper of the Asian Games. Of course, the occasion calls for a host of limited edition watches. As the official timekeeper of the 17th Asian Games Incheon 2014, Tissot of course will release a slew of limited edition timepieces. In fact, there will be nine different limited edition models for the Asian Games, and each will be limited to 2,014 pieces. The 2014 Asian Games are similar to the Olympics, but I am not an expert on the event. They have a range of sporting events and competitors from all over Asia come to win medals. Rather than the global appeal of the Olympics, the Asian Games appear to only include participants from countries on the Asian continent, and that includes India and the Middle East. Check out more i
Hands-On: With The Girard-Perregaux 1966 Full Calendar In White Gold (Live Pics, Specs, & Pricin
The 1966 line from Girard-Perregaux is easily the purest from this manufacture of haute horlogerie. But it can perhaps be overlooked, considering GP's attention-grabbing, truly cutting-edge masterworks like the 2013 GPHG-winning Constant Escapement LM. While tri-axial tourbillons and triple bridges are fun to read (and write) about, it's not necessarily what the average watch lover looks for in an everyday timepiece. For that, the 1966 collection does the trick, and today we take a look at this elegant full calendar in white gold. 2 OF 14 These watches have a number of features you would want to find in a high-end, every day luxury watch. They are not excessively sized at 40 mm, and the dials can either come in black or white. They are true triple calendars in the old sense of the term – not annual calendars or perpetual calendars. The dates are set manually via pushers on the side, and the displays are truly iconic, with the day and month read via apertures
My friend might be selling this...which one is this?
Hi everyone, I have been sort of hanging around this part of TRF incognito, posting replies every so often at the stunning PP pics you guys post. I have come across this watch recently that a friend might be selling. I am not sure which model this is. Is this particular one desirable? Is it part of the lines of PP that people are on waiting list and paying a premium for. Thanks everyone for helping a newbie PP admirer. BTW, that is my wrist that the watch is mounted on. First Rolex Incoming!!
Hey every, as some of you know I have been in the market for a Rolex and was inbetween a Rhodium YM or SubC date. I went into my AD today as he had both in stock to try and figure out which one I was going to purchase (in the FUTURE).Ultimately decided that the YM was a little too flashy and the Sub was just timeless, perfect, and everything I was looking for in my first Rolex (currently wear a Tag Formula Chrono).I tried to wheel a deal...and got the option to ship out of state withba small discount. I was really back and forth on whether or not I should pull the trigger (like my whole neck was red and my girlfriend was laughing because I was nervous/excited). Ultimately I decided to walk out because I really wanted to wait a little longer......30 minutes later I calle day AD and said screw it!!! Let's put a bow on it! Bought my first Rolex 116610LNThe WORSTE part is I don't get to wear it till next weekend when I see my best friend out of state!!!P.S. how do I post picture from
