Under the Cuff: Chronographs
It's time once again to test your watchspotting skills. This quiz presents a dozen chronographs, each partially obscured behind a shirt cuff. Can you identify these timepieces? As always, the answers appear at the end of the quiz. Good luck!
the new Hublot watches will not let their sophisticated wearers go by unnoticed
Graceful bezels, nicely polished or set with brilliant-cut diamonds, give the HLC3 and HLC4 watches an extremely feminine twist. The impression is further elevated by white reptile straps, which will gently hug women's delicate wrists.Exciting outside and extremely reliable inside, the new Hublot watches will not let their sophisticated wearers go by unnoticed.
My new addition... a Petite Tapisserie
My first watch in 2013, and the ONE that will calm my itch for a long while...After looking at thousands of photos and handling many different versions of ROO, my heart always goes back to this 25721ST. Perhaps it is its status as the first ROO, or the mesmerizing blue dial, or the petite tapisserie pattern, or the applied AP logo, or the luminous stick markers, or the integrated bracelet... This classical piece extremely versatile and is the perfect ROO to me in every way. I'm really happy and contented to have added this one as my new beater.
INCOMING - Omega Seamaster 300m Blue
Hello all -Today I had another great transaction with DavidSW. I got an “excellent” condition Omega Seamaster 300m blue diver ceramic from him. To be honest, there were a couple, at most, hair line scratches and is still under warranty for about 2.5 years out of the 3. Perfect, perfect condition. Probably should have been considered mint, by some standards, but very happy to have in my collection now. It fits a little larger than I’m used to, but I think it’ll be okay. Love to know what your thoughts are on fit. Can’t wait to wear this as a daily wearer. I’ve been wanting a ceramic and blue dial omega or rolex, but at least with Omega I didn’t have to fork over 28-32k. (41mm reference)IMG_1925.JPGSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Crown guard help ...
Question related to service...After several years of heavy use, my old man is giving me his Panerai 299. While generally in good shape, the crown guard is pretty loose and jiggles around. Certainly not useful any more in preventing ingress of water. Is there a way to tighten it myself using inexpensive tools I can buy online, or would you recommend bringing it in to an AD for service/sending it to Panerai. All else being equal or nearly equal, I'd prefer the lowest-cost option. Thanks!
