A. Lange & S?hne Lange 1 Tourbillon Handwerkskunst Celebrates 20 Years of Lange 1
Who says you can’t go home again? Horological history repeated itself last week at Dresden’s Royal Palace, where A. Lange & S?hne introduced the limited-edition Lange 1 Tourbillon Handwerkskunst, a watch made to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Saxon brand’s iconic Lange 1 watch, which debuted at the same venue two decades prior.October 24, 1994, marked the rebirth of the A. Lange & S?hne watch brand, founded in Glashtte, in the German state of Saxony near Dresden, in 1845 by Ferdinand Adolphe Lange. Dormant since 1948, after the post-War occupation of East Germany by the Soviet Union, the brand was resurrected by the founder’s great grandson, Walter Lange, in the German reunification year of 1990. It was four years from the foundation of the modern-day A. Lange & Sohne brand to the release of its first collection, which took place at the Royal Palace of Dresden and was headlined by the timepiece that would become the company’s unquesti
What You Should Know About Apple, iWatches, And Sapphire Crystal
Thomas Bogner's concept of an Apple watch uses a curved crystal surface, curved in 2 axes. source: dribbblewatches-dealerIs Apple planning to use sapphire crystal for the iWatch?? What about other devices such as the iPhone (that already uses some sapphire crystal parts)? We know Apple is working on a watch, but no one is quite clear on what it will look or be like. We?wrote about the iWatch almost a year ago predicting its release before there was even confirmed news about it. We've also seen iPod nanos dressed up as a watch, and we've seen quotes from Apple board member Bill Campbell saying "when you start to think about glasses or watches, they become as intimate as the cellphone was."We also hear Apple is experimenting with curved glass in reports from the New York Times and Bloomberg, chances are that they will be using sapphire crystals (screens) just like high-end timepieces do. The goal of course are durable, beautiful iWatches that don't break as easily as a dropped iPhone wil
Bracelet for Seamaster 300 2265.80
Hello Everyone - The first watch I ever purchased was a 2265.80 and I wore the heck out of it. After upgrading to a Planet Ocean, my AD offered to buff the scratches out of the clasp on the 2265.80. After about 15 minutes in the back room, he hands me my watch and it is completely polished. Took away the nice brushed finish and while many people say it looks great, I'm a purist and can't stand to wear it anymore. I don't like the polished look on this particular watch.I complained and got a great deal on a new Tag, but I'd like to get the bracelet either refinished from Omega or purchase a new one to make this look like new. Does anyone know what model number the bracelet is, or where I could find one online? I've found some that are in the $700 range (I don't think I want to spend that much). Here's an image of what it should look like:22658000.jpgAnd here's what it actually looks like:omega.jpgI guess I'm wondering if I sent it in for service, if they could get it looking like new
Best watch thats available in the ad for small wrists?
Couldn't find a sub at the local AD. So far I only liked the sub when I tried it cause my wrist are too small for the others? Not sure tho. Which one do you think is more suitable for small wrists? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Guessing
So my wife and I went into a local sub shop yesterday after mass to grab a sandwich before a hike. On the way in I noticed a Bentley Convertible. As I walked in I started trying to guess who was driving the Bentley. As I was walking to my seat i noticed a youngish guy wearing a 36mm white dial DD and told my wife that is the one. Sure enough he was the one....what is it about nice watches going with nice rides?
