The Winner is.....The EOT
In continuation to an earlier thread of mine, I've chosen the EOT in steel over the RG Skeleton. Now comes the tough part, Parting with the cash. 49K to be exact. My AD started the negotiations at 55K, leading me to believe that was his cost but after further investigation and couple of text exchanges with Mike (MB23) Thank You Mr. Russo, true wholesale on the piece is $44.5K. Also got the AP trip thrown in as well as a wonderful table clock that AP makes. The watch is from the AP boutique in Miami thus the Miami setting. My city's coordinates have been sent to AP and it will be customized when I visit the factory in April. Here is a quick shot at the AD's, waiting to be shipped to me by Saturday. Can't wait and will definitely not sleep much. Thanks all for their input. Will post wrist shots once its in my grubby little hands. Here is the table clock & the watch. SMP +/- seconds have changed since purchase
I purchased my SMP 7 months ago and used time.is to track the +/- seconds over the course of 60 days. The SMP ran at a solid +2. I decided to track it again recently and it's now running at a consistent -4. Nothing has changed in the usage of the watch: wind it a couple times a month, wear it everyday, rest it face up at night. I've heard watches have a breaking in period but I really thought my SMP was going to stick at +2 since it ran that way for months. I can tolerate -4 for now, but I was really surprised it deviated 6 seconds from when I first tracked it. I'll be curious to see what it's doing when I track it a few months from now. My question is...anyone else have that dramatic of a change in +/- after purchasing a new watch? Or is this normal? I have no frame of reference since this is the first time I've ever tracked the time on my mechanical watches. Thanks in advance for any comments to help clarify this for me.
3rd PAM Incoming! (Video link)
I was transiting through Dubai Airport on Friday morning when I happened to come across their 25% sale 😊. I simply had to take advantage of the offer and picked up a PAM320 for $6600! I'm so happy with this model as I didn't have a GMT model in the collection as yet. I've previously owned a 104 and 111.Here's the video:youtu.be/bT0FvBRUZUMHappy viewing!
RSC reinforce end pieces??
So we sent my Mother in laws DJ in to RSC for a service and they called and said the end pieces we’re worn and needed to be reinforced, any idea how they do this?? I know Michaels work, but haven’t ever seen Rolex do a reinforcement, I figured they’d just wanna replace them? (TT Ladies DJ)
