Back from APSC New-York
Hi everyoneJust wanted to share my experience with APSC New-York. 15300 was sent in for the B1 test and additional 1 year warranty. Lucky to find a letter explaining that they replaced the crystal as it didn't met their inspection. I noticed before sending it some micro chips on the side between 6 an 7 position but was only visible through a loupe. It was on the angle of the crystal and far from something to be worried about. Now After loupe inspection, it is 100% perfect Happy to report it was back in 5 weeks. More than I expected to say the least.Came back all wrapped with plastics on the case as if it was new. All in all, a perfect experience.Cheers.
Can anyone confirm there were 3 different Arabic dial versions on the Super Avenger 1
I am trying to buy a Super Avenger and it is very difficult because there are fakes that really look about 99% there. I am having trouble telling the difference between fakes and real SAs. If I could see the movement it would be easy but most sellers don't do this. Can anyone confirm there were three different dials? And better yet, any ideas on approximately when they changes to these dials? 1) I'm pretty sure this was the first Super Avenger, with the deep cuts and bigger Breitling logo, chrome surround on the DW, and AUTOMATIC written over the 6 o'clock subdial. 2) This one has cuts in 7, 8, 10, and 11. Maybe this is the second version?3) 2) This one has smaller Breitling logo and cuts into the 10 and 11 but not the 8. I have a feeling this is the newest version. The reason I'm asking is, prices are all over the map for Super Avengers. It doesn't make sense for me to buy one that is 13 years old if there is one that is 3 years old for the same price. I'm really worried about buying a
Rolex to Panerai
Has anyone made the swap from Rolex to Panerai. What did you find and did you have any regrets?I cannot afford both unfortunately, looking for opinions on people who literally swapped one for another, not added one to their collection.Currently have. Sub C which I do love but I have become pretty obsessed with Panerai as of late and really like the look of them.
The Official "I promise not to post about the SS Coke GMT " Thread
I promise to no longer post about the possibility of a SS coke gmt or the possible discontinuation of the BLRO until the week of Basel. Its gonna be a few long weeks but we can do it!Can anyone else take the pledge?
Searching for the right model GMT Master II
Hello Everyone,This is my first proper post on the forum, I've finally got around to joining up as I have some specific questions. Although I have been lurking for a while and already have a vintage DJ.I'm getting very tempted by a GMT, part of me would like a birth year 1675 but I also have to be realistic and I want a watch that I can still wear as a daily especially if I'm travelling. There are features of the 16710 that make it appealing to me such as the independent GMT hand, the sapphire crystal and the slightly more modern looking white gold edged markers.I'm in the process of weighing up the options of buying a good solid example of the spec I want versus buying a full set. The spec I'm after would be as follows:GMT Master IIEarly-ish exampleTritium DialDrilled lugsOriginal Coke or Pepsi bezel (not Black)Jubilee braceletIf I'm buying Full Set then I'd like it to be a full set of the above config and I guess that it might be a bit rare. My questions are about how that spec s
