Watches NEWS
New Orleans Watch Company
Say hello to another independent American watch brand. This time from raging New Orleans. Sounds like a place with enough history to support a watch brand. The marque is simply called the New Orleans Watch Company - and the pieces have a distinct feel to them that is both decorative and celebratory - a lot like New Orleans I suppose. The watches don't seem to have model names. What I gather is that each is made to order per the customer's wishes. That equals expensive. The pieces have a very artisan feel to them versus being made in sophisticated CNC machines and alike. Seen in this article are a few versions of the New Orleans Watch - you can see how the parts can be mixed up with various materials. Should or Shouldn't?
Hi guys. Happy holiday! I have been looking for this AP quite a while and recently found one with excellent condition. This can be the last of the year, should I go for it and what you guys think.Nothing can say about this discontinued model, perfect in every corner. Thank you uploadfromtaptalk1450998215340.jpg

Omega PO versus Rolex Submariner
If you own both, do you favor one or the other? The PO has better lume, I realize, and the new co-axial escapement is a nice innovation too. How does the PO compare to Rolex in the way it feels on the wrist, i.e., is one heavier or bulkier than the other? Do you like both after wearing them or wind up heavily favoring one over the other? I am just wondering because I am considering both of these models--I hope it works out this summer. They are both great brands, great models, I think, but was wondering about your experiences. Thanks in advance.

I have liked watches since I was in junior high and got a nice quartz Seiko from my father for Christmas in about 1983. I had gotten several quartz Hamilton watches as gifts from my wife over the years until I graduated from college and my mother gave me the gift of:I liked it because it was in the James Bond movie and I wore this quartz watch as my daily for many years. It seems like the bezel may have faded over time- now I know that patina is something y'all like :)As a complete surprise Christmas present, my wife put this in my stocking:Over time I came to be of the opinion that this was the perfect watch with a simple elegance that just couldn't be improved on, kind of the MacBook of the watch world. At that point I thought it would be the last watch I would wear until I retire and buy a Day-Date- because of course that is the watch you get when you retire. (this pic is on the wrist of my son who I gave it to for reasons that will become evident below.) This was my daily until t
