Good day members I've been offered this locally and paying it consideration. Would appreciate any feedback- all criticism welcomed. From what little I have been able to read about this reference, it should have a DON bezel, I've been offered with this current decimetre bezel (possibly a service bezel)? This to me brings the question of originality of the others parts of the watch...Dial, hand set, pushers. All looks very fresh to me for a 50 year old watch. Would the experts kindly comment as what is important to me is a true and period correct watch.A 1171 bracelet is to be included but not pictured. Do I pass without the presence of a DON ?321 movement 8 digit- 25 m serial. Thanks
Vintage Speedy leather strap
I thought I'd post this picture as I'd never seen the strap option for a 321 Speedy. It's a perforated, racing strap. Very different from the alligator strap currently on offer from Omega. I wonder where I can get a replica of these?ImageUploadedByTapatalk1339511663.016785.jpg
what is the ref. # on this one?
I received a call today from my AD telling me he had new pieces in stock. Again, sorry for the crappy pics and I would love to hear your comments. Hope you guys like it.
Slight concern? Help!
Earlier on i read this on watch club...Until 1976, Rolex would punch the year of production on the inside of the clasp, preceded by the Roman numeral denoting which quarter of the year it was produced, so, when we see the clasp code IV 68 we know that it was produced in the 4th quarter of 1968. From 76 onwards though the year was replaced with a lettering system (in a similar fashion to the case numbering system adopted in 1987). If the letter is prefixed with an S' it indicates if is a service replacement.I purchased a 116610LN last June brand new from my local AD, and my clasp number is S2Q, does that mean my watch has a replacement bracelet? Please help me on this one.Daniel Watson.
Anyone else bothered by someone elses name on warranty card?
Just picked up a 114060. Can't see myself ever giving this guy up. I bought it grey market 2 months old (nov 2017). It hurts me inside a little bit knowing that my name isn't on the cardIn a sense it makes me feel like it will never be my watch.Does anyone else get bugged out by this? Or am I just being insane lolSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
