7 Rare Watches at Antiquorum’s 40th Anniversary Auction
Geneva-based Antiquorum Auctioneers turns 40 this year, and it is celebrating with an auction of Important Modern & Vintage Timepieces, to be held at the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong, on Saturday, February 22. Among the highlights of the more than 250 timepieces on the block are a rare, steel Patek Philippe chronograph; a prototype Richard Mille tourbillon watch; and several vintage Rolexes. Doubtless the headliner of the auction is the Patek Philippe Ref. 5004A stainless-steel wristwatch (Lot 250), with a split-seconds chronograph function, made in a limited edition of only 50 pieces. ?Produced in 2011, this highly collectible timepiece also features a perpetual calendar with moon-phases, leap year, and 24-hour indication, and comes on a leather strap with a stainless-steel Patek Philippe deployant clasp. The watch is double sealed and accompanied by a fitted wooden box, an additional, solid stainless steel case back, a setting pin and a leather folio. Its pre-auction estimate is
Chopard Mark L.U.C watches beautifully
Crown of gold 18 K pink etched of words Mark L.U.C watches beautifully realized, flowing lines, comforwatch wear, more ergonomic requirements. In addition, a central moment on the dial plate are practical and aesthetic, and reading at a glance. This fine timepiece deal with Matt Black rocks of money central time offers the other backdrop, unique, very pleasant taste.
Which would you choose - 5164R or 5168G?
I am thinking about one of these, and like both of them. I like the Aquanaut series, and have a 5167. The rubber/composite strap is really appealing. And I like the light weight. Are are my comments:5164R Aquanaut travel time - I really like rose gold cases. The brown dial is nice too. I travel a little, and the travel time feature seems like it would be useful, but it's not like I'm gone every week! :-)5168G Aquanaut - I really like blue dials!! My only concern is that I wonder about the size. I saw one once, but don't remember exactly how it fit. On the other hand, it isn't that much larger than the 5164.What are your thoughts on these? Thank you!
5711P - the perfect weekend away piece.
Dress it up, dress it down. Rain or sun, day or night. Order of play:2 hour drive, coffee stop, lunch, shopping, get soaked in torrential rain storm, dry off, Ballet, late night dinner, 2 mile walk through deserted London streets (closed for RideLondon event), sleep, full English, another day of sightseeing and shopping, drive home. perfect. GMT-MASTER II 116710 movement
I am just wondering if you adjusting your watch hour hand backward/forward quite several time per month as you flying across timezone would it do any damage to the movement in the long run ? I have been wearing my 116610LN since 2013 and I just recently bought this GMT on the night of a new year eve.
