Some Omega Speedmaster X-33 action shots.....
I must admit, this watch is still growing on me.I am sure some day a nice 2nd generation X-33 will join my modest ''bunch''... ;)
Early incoming
So this is nothing close to the awesome incomings I've seen on here, especially the epic grand complication recently, however it means quite a bit to me as it is my first Patek. I've been hoping to acquire a Patek for a long time and it is perfect timing that I would finally receive one on my birthday of all days. I placed an order with my longtime AD back in June and was told to expect the watch around Christmas. To my great surprise I got a text at the end of last week with a picture of the sealed watch saying it's ready for pick up. Received the watch yesterday and man, it does not disappoint. I've had watches from many other manufacturers and it was quite a special moment to put on my first Patek. Thanks to the forum for providing great insight and photos on this crazy passion of ours. On to the pics...Still sealedFirst time on the wristGreat presentation Love the viewWristshotMy small collection meets its new friendCheers everyone! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Narrowed down my choices and need final help from you experts
I narrowed down my choices, will make decision this few days. Will be paying early next week after i make my decision. :D Please help me to vote, thank you guys :D for all the advice on the other thread.
What about a Turn o Graph
ChapsI now have 5 Rolex, these being :- 39mm Explorer 214270, Freccione 1655, Sub 16610, Zenith Daytona 16520 and a 16710 GMT Coke. That was going to be it, but I sort of fancies a DateJust and was wondering about a Turn o Graph as it is a little bit different from the usual models.I have noticed that it rarely gets discussed here and I was wondering if there is a reason for this or is it just plain unloved. and would I be better off with a conventional DJ ?Does anyone have any wise and learned comments on this ?RegardsMick
Thinking about trading my 116520 for a 16710 or Another "Choose for me" thread
I'm about to make the decision on whether or not to trade my white dial Daytona for a no-holes GMT (Originally black, but comes with a Coke insert too) and some cash. I've been wearing my 16610 for several months now, & I haven't missed the Daytona on my wrist. I find the Daytona to be a bit more difficult to read when glancing at an angle, and it's definitely a scratch magnet... BUT IT'S A DAYTONA!!! I love the way both the Daytona and Sub feel on my wrist, and I've posted before about how I hope that the GMT would wear wear similarly to the Sub. I use the date function with some frequency, have no use for the chrono function on the Daytona, and wouldn't have much use for the GMT function (but it would probably be used at some point). The additional cash that I'd get will hopefully go towards a 214270 in the not to distant future, which I believe would round out a great three watch collection. In short, I'm looking for any input that the forum may have to steer me in one direction
