Perrelet Seacraft Watches Hands-On
At Basel 2011 I was surprised to see these new dive watches from Perrelet. The brand has recently focused a lot on formal and sport so I should have expected a good diver, however, I never saw these coming. The Seacraft collection is interesting and appealing though parts of the designs seem to be influenced from elsewhere. My biggest question is how much Perrelet paid SeaCraft boats to use the name? Personally, I don't think about boats when I hear the name, I actually think about Star Craft. There are three watches in the Seacraft collection and each comes with three different dial colors (black, white, or blue). A nice matching alligator strap option is also available for each of the watches. The colors are bold and so are the styles. I like the pieces overall but feel that Perrelet possibly could have gone further to make the watches more distinct. Plus, aside from the lugs and Perrelet logo on the dial, there isn't much about the watches that says "Perrelet."Despite these facts, th

Visited the Omega boutique today
My regular AD (where I purchase my watches) recently stopped selling Omega and I saw that a new Omega boutique opened recently near it.Today I went in and I was like a kid in a candy store, I WANTED EVERYTHING! It's nice to see pretty much all the models in the same place, on the flip side they only give 5% discounts or so they say.Right across the street there's a jewelry shop that is an Omega AD and trying to get the guy to offer a bigger discount I asked him if he didn't loose to many sales to the other store since they offered much better discounts. He told me that was the reason my regular AD is not selling Omega anymore and that the store across the street is not receiving any new product and is just selling what they have left. Apparently Omega is trying to control discounting and is going the company-owned boutique route.I tried on this watch and loved it:A Chopard Mille Miglia has always been on my list but I think this one just kicked it out and replaced it.It's an incredible
Value of watch collection compared to annual salary
Hi everyone, Interested to know approximately what percentage of your annual income is tied up' in your watch collection (no figures necessary, of course)It goes without saying there are no right or wrong answers and I'm certainly not looking to judge or use this as a guide because everyone is different. Just curious I suppose?!

First time buyer, was checking all the ads here but felt more comfortable buying from an AD first time out the gate..Its a keeper..Thanks for all the info you guys have provided me soo far...Lots of knowledge here...Pix to follow, or else it didn't really happen.
