Watches NEWS
BEST FROM: watches-dealer & Friends December 20, 2013
As we wind down to the end of December and of the year, we check out a couple of new watches: A. Lange & S?hne's new Lange 1 Moon Phase watch; L. Leroy's Osmior Tourbillon Regulateur Automatique; and Shinola's charming 47mm Runwell. We also speak to Montblanc's new CEO, Jerome Lambert, and also debate upon IWC's brand direction and find out how you can keep your watches clean.I hope you have enjoyed my round-ups thus far, and here's wishing all readers a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!1. L. Leroy Osmior Tourbillon Regulateur Automatique Watches Hands-OnL. Leroy (Le-raw, not Lee-roy) was a prominent watchmaker in the 18th century and his name appeared on pocket watches and wristwatches in the early 20th century. The brand has been resurrected as a high-end luxury brand and we recently had the chance to take a look at some watches from their Osmior collection. If you are looking for a high-end tourbillon watch that's not from your usual suspects, these are
Lost my warranty booklet
As the title says, i just realised that i cant find my warranty booklet for my Navy ap roo. Two questions for anyone who may have gone through this:1. I know ap can send a certificate of authenticity as a replacement if I send my watch in. Question is how long does this process take, and what does this certificate look like?2. If I should want to sell the watch in the future, does having a certificate of authenticity over the original booklet affect the value adversely? I still have the original watchbox. Thanks in advanceSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Design logic of the maxi case lugs
Hi all,I am wondering about the design logic (i.e. proportionality) of the wide lugs of the present-day Sub (116610).When you look at the Sub, if you were to place the watch flat on a sheet of paper, put the tip of your pencil at the edge of the case close to the 9 o'clock marker, and then trace along the edge of the case progressing towards the lug, then continue that line on it's trajectory, would it eventually meet the bracelet? If so, where? (Perhaps at the clasp?) If not, would the line parallel the taper of the bracelet? (i.e. Is there a mathematical relationship between the proportionality/taper of the case and bracelet?)Any ideas or opinions very welcome. Thanks,David
