Today's Wrist Shot
We're getting rain instead of snow today. I put on a spring jacket and moved up the pool opening. Call me an optimist.
What about this combo?
As I told you I went to my watchmaker last Sunday. He also repaired a Oyster bracelet for me.A while ago on another forum somebody posted a picture of a Speedmaster Professional on a Oyster bracelet. So, today I tried out that combo myself....What do you think?I really like this combo...Lets see how long this combination stays on my wrist..
Grandpa`s Omega
I just picked it up from service. They`ve just changed it`s oil and cleaned it from the inside! It is still perfectly functional and amazingly accurate. And I like the way it looks,I just don`t know what to do with it`s dial.I think I`ll leave it the way it is,but it`s kind of shame, because this watch is in almost perfect overall shape.Maybe I`ll give it to some guys who are doing restauration bussiness very well.
Question on submariner ceramic bezel
I know that around 2011, Rolex changed the dial on the 116618 from a powder blue dial (smurf) to the current blue sunburst dial. Does anyone know if the ceramic bezel also slightly changed color on the post 2011 models or is the ceramic bezel color the same as the previous ones from 2011 and before? I am thinking of swapping out the blue sunburst dial for an OEM blue diamond dial on my 2017 116618 and wondered if the blue diamond dial would match the newer ceramic bezel like the older models did. Thanks
Best place to get 2017 Red Sea dweller
Hi there,Been looking around London today for the new sea-dweller and getting the usual exasperated gasps when asking about it. Told it's a 7 year waiting list etc. I was told the same with the batman but managed to get one after 8 months of constant digging. My question is, does anyone know if they are more readily available anywhere else in the world? Preferably Europe. Getting a SS sport model in the uk is painful.
