Patek Philippe Calatrava Pilot Travel Time Ref. 5524 Watch
What you are looking at here is the new Patek Philippe Calatrava Pilot Travel Time Ref. 5524 introduced at Baselworld 2015. Yes, it is an unmistakably pilot-style watch from Patek Philippe. Your eyes are not kidding you.Patek Philippe has got to be one of the most unpredictable?brands in recent times. Most recently, the company announced that it would revise its prices and that resulted in most regions receiving price cuts. Although this is not the first time Patek Philippe has done so, it comes at a time when the Swiss Franc has appreciated significantly and other powerhouses like Rolex and Audemars Piguet have increased their prices. And at Baselworld 2014 last year, it released a high-complication steel watch, the Annual Calendar Chronograph Ref. 5960 (hands-on). That was a watch that caught everyone off guard and got everyone excited, and this year, Patek Philippe is at it again.Provenance is, of course, extremely crucial when it comes to high-end watchmaking, and before you dismis
AP classic grande complications
Wanted to share with you some pics of AP complicated watches.Interesting in a way but not up to the level of design of Patek for these kinds of grande complication watches, as much as AP is top notch for their sport watches, it seems to me that Patek blows them out of the water with equivalent pieces.Like a lot their pocket watch though, kind of piece which is really cool to have in a very big collection, or if your name is Johnny Depp, you see him very often with a chain indicating clearly he has a pocket watchEnjoy the pics2890523gross.jpg25996TI_OO_D002CR_02.jpg26356PT_OO_D028CR_01.jpg26353PT_OO_D028CR_01.jpg25712BA_OO_0000xx_01.jpg
Calling on AP aficionados. Again....
Hey All. I have asked for some help on an AP matter in the past here: .rolexforums/showthrea...=187094&page=2Well this is related to that same situation. I decided to sell the other two watches I owned and now I just have the Rolex Sub-C. Obviously, I still want the AP ROO Diver! Now, I am not an expert on AP and I am just wondering about the longevity of their models. I need to save for a bit to get the AP. I am willing to save for a year or two if need be to get a new one (which I prefer). How long do you guys see the Diver being around? I can't help this feeling I have that I did this backwards. Maybe I should have gotten the AP Diver then saved back up for the Sub. We all know the Sub will be around for at least 15-20 years unchanged! So...did I do it backwards or do you think the Diver will be around and available new for years to come?? I know no one can tell me for sure, I'm just looking for the opinion of those who have been following AP for longer than I have. Thanks!
What is the most popular Breitling?
Kind of like how Rolex has the Submariner... What is Breitlings?Pics would be nice too! =]
too pretty to not be mentioned :)
i haven't seen any mention of the hour vision around here...i just love the watch..it has too many things good about it that appeal to me:-the design and sapphire construction is bold, new, very pleasing and refreshing.-the movement calibres 8500/8501 were especially designed from scratch and put in this watch.-the blue seconds hand just takes my breath away.in all it is my dream dress watch....any one please has any pics of their own hour vision watches, wrist shots or anything, please share.I am sharing just some googled pics......p.s.i love the stainless steel version with leather strap but i am sure the others look lovely too..leather and silver rather than gold and bracelet is just my taste :)
