Jaeger-LeCoultre Geophysic Universal Time Watch
In addition to the Jaeger-LeCoultre Geophysic True Second watch, another new timepiece in the collection for 2015 is this Jaeger-LeCoultre Geophysic Universal Time that adds a world time complication, stunning world map dial, and a larger case size. Jaeger-LeCoultre originally released the first Geophysic watch in 1958 and the cult favorite was something only niche collectors knew about until 2014 when Jaeger-LeCoultre decided to reintroduce the collection as the Geophysic 1958 watches (hands-on here). As I mentioned when introducing the also new for 2015 Geophysic True Second watch, Jaeger-LeCoultre has really hit a stride with the Geophysic collection in terms of desirability that, for me, was absent in the 2014 collection. What's changed? Well, a new movement, case, and dial design, for starters. Then, there are interesting models such as the Jaeger-LeCoultre Geophysic Universal Time which shows just how ambitious Jaeger-LeCoultre is going to be the Geophysic into the future.World ti
Vintage Chronomat ref. 0818 W/Venus 178
Just back from a complete overhaul including a new factory acrylic Crystal. Very much enjoying this Big Case (48mm) vintage circa 1969 Breitling Chronomat three register chronograph. Waiting for a custom leather strap from Peter at Gunny Straps...rockin a comfortable matching Nato for now.
Dust/scratch on my dial?
I know my SMP 300m like the back of my hand and I just noticed a straight white mark on the dial between the 1 o'clock and 2 o'clock markers. I can't tell if it's dust or a scratch, but it is definitely on the dial. It wasn't there yesterday. Any ideas on what it is or how it got there?
My New Patek 5990 Flaw...
With all the stories lately about ridiculously long service times from patek and inconsistencies with new watches from the factory, I guess you guys can add another to the list.. Was admiring the movement of my 5990 nautilus yesterday and I noticed a little hair fiber inside the movement. Please see the pic below.. this is really the last thing I care to deal with at the moment, but if I don't send it in for service, the fiber could fall into the movement and get caught in a gear, only to cause further problems. Not impressed at all with patek at the moment. red circle around the fiber.
Calatrava vs. Royal Oak
Hi Guys,I hope I can get some good advice here.I bought a brand new PP 5127G 2 years ago and love it to bits.Unfortunately, I spotted an Ap Royal Oak 15300R and fell in love with it as well. The only thing I don't like about the AP is it's heavy depreciation. Another issue is I already got another rose gold watch which I will never sell-PP 5711R. I don't have other white gold watch so Im reluctant to let the Calatrava go!Shame I cannot afford to have another watch and my safe at home is full!!Many thanks for all your comment!
