SIHH 2013 Preview: Ralph Lauren Sporting World Time
The 2013 Salon International de Haute Horlogerie (SIHH), in which many luxury watch brands introduce their new models for the year, doesn't take place until late January, but one of those brands, Ralph Lauren, has offered us a preview of one of those new watches, called the Sporting World Time.The latest addition to Ralph Lauren's Sporting collection, the World Time watch has a rotating disk engraved with the names of 24 world cities, each representing one of the world's major time zones. The disk works with the second time-zone subdial at 6 o'clock (which also has a day-night indicator) to indicate the time in another zone.The dial, which has a varnished, deep blue finish, also includes a date subdial at 2 o'clock and a semicircular power-reserve indicator at 10 o'clock. Other hallmarks of Ralph Lauren's Sporting collection on the dial include the white transferred Roman numerals and white, transferred railroad-style minute track. Thoughts on 25770ST
So... I could trade my 114060 (6 month old) + $3800 towards a just serviced (by a proper AP dealer costing almost $3000) and polished 25770ST that has a new croc strap, no box or papers though. Should I go for it, thoughts?

Well, the obsession with AP is never ending. I told myself after the orange ceramic diver in december no more!...lo and behold, two more incomings since. and now...a THIRD for the year. (I have issues, clearly )well, I am waiting on my 2014 grail to arrive sometime in late July or early August from AP's NY boutique (thanks to my buddy Texex91 who did some SERIOUS enabling), BUT, in the meantime this is something to hold me over...It's an H serial and it was a daily wearer for my friend who I purchased it from so it definitely shows some wear but for me that's a good thing. I tend to baby watches that are new and flawless too much. (it was too good a deal to pass up anyways). LOVE how well it wears with casual clothing. You can't go wrong with it!
