Carl F. Bucherer Launches new Chrono Perpetual
Carl F. Bucherer’s new timepiece, introduced this week at the 2012 Baselworld watch fair, elegantly combines two of the most popular complications. The aptly named Chrono Perpetual uses an in-house movement, made at the brand’s atelier, to power both a chronograph and a perpetual calendar with moon-phase and leap year. Find wallpaper image inside. The watch's perpetual calendar has a correction-free date display at 12 o'clock, day-of-the-week display at 6 o'clock, month and leap year indication at 9 o'clock, and moon-phase at 3 o'clock. The chronograph has a flyback function and can be used with the tachymeter scale along the dial's periphery. All these functions are powered by a Vaucher movement, made exclusively for Carl F. Bucherer.Watches with so many functions often have a very busy dial, but the designers of the Manero ChronoPerpetual strove to emphasize readability by incorporating several different levels and surface finishes. They also integrated the chronograph cou

AP Panda or Vacheron Constantin Overseas??
I'm considering my next piece - always wanted an AP Panda while at the same time, the VC OS has a very nice presence. My reservation is the movement of the VC. What do you all think? Which would you choose? Any insight as to which is constructed better, overall holorgy value?ImageUploadedByTapatalk1370225211.092713.jpgOrImageUploadedByTapatalk1370225222.340780.jpg
Dangerous9 Incomings
Before I start, be warned that this post might be very unhealthy for your bank accounts!Following the acquisition of my 737 in August this year, I started jonesing for another strap. The brown Teju lizard that John Glance at Dangerous9 crafted for me is a work of art so the logical thing to do was get in touch and see what else he could do. From the great feedback I had from you guys on the colour combinations of my Panerai OEM straps, particularly on my 689 and 737, I decided to go for another Teju lizard but this time in racing tan. Whist we have to be careful considering colours seen on a computer monitor (they can vary significantly between brands), I thought that the racing tan was the colour to go for; some of you said that the Panerai OEM JV gold took the eye away from the dials of the 689 and 737 and I could see where you were coming from. The racing tan therefore seemed perfect in that it was a similar shade to the JV but nowhere near as shouty.Back in late August and earl
Most fortunate low ball trade offer from my AD
Hi guys - long time no posts.Yesterday I visited an AD during my lunch break. I had no intention of getting a new watch. They happened to have the 39mm explorer in the case. I had been thinking about selling my 36mm to fund the 39mm for about a year. The 36mm is a z serial service by Rolex just last month. They offered me 1500.00! - and I’ve bought 6 or 8 watches from these guys over years. I was a bit shocked at that offer.Anyway - no way I’m taking that offer because I love the thing and it’s a stupid offer. So instead I now have both and to be honest I find the 2 watches to be completely different in the metal - totally different personalities. I can justify keeping both - I find them to me that different. The new one is a serious beast in comparison and it has a ton of wrist presence. I love the dial. It’s on the edge of what I would consider too big for the type of watch that it is but it’s really not too big if that makes any sense. The old one is the
