Benarus Sea Snake Review
Benarus stands out from the pack of boutique tool dive watches with designs that tend to be more unique and perhaps divisive. A perfect example of this is the last watch of theirs we reviewed, the Megalodon 500. This dual crown diver has some of the most extreme looks of any watch we've looked at. Yet despite the shock value, was an awesome and memorable watch. More recently, we've actually reviewed their sister brand, Raven, whose Rolex inspired watches are fun, stylish and tough as nails. For an inside look at the brand, check out our interview with co-owner Steve Laughlin.Today we're going to look at a watch they've made for sometime, but comes and goes in terms of availability. The Sea Snake is a 500m tool watch with looks that are inspired by a classic, yet somewhat less discussed, dive watch, the Breitling SuperOcean. 1969 Speedy - Opinions Please
Whilst my Grail watch would be a 1967 Speedy, I'm also looking for a 1969 and yesterday came across this one and wanted your opinions please. It's post moon, just and hence has what is apparently a rarer case back as I've pictured below. The dealer tells me it's totally original and I have to say that under a loupe it does look very convincing although I've a feeling the hands may have been relumed or changed but a long time ago.I'm also confused as to whether or not it should have the dot above to 90 or not? Am I right in thinking that this was a transitional year for that?I'd really appreciate your thoughts, criticisms and observations before I go and spend $6,000.Thanks.2016-01-26 16.11.28 (2).jpgP1020028.jpg
Omega SMP Chrono 2594.50 America's Cup Edition
pretty sure this may have been discussed at some point in the last 8 years but any ideas why some say Amercas Cup in small text below the chronometer script and some don't but Omega gave them the same ref #???i'm selling mine and a question came up on that matter. i called my Omega Ad today and they couldn't answer the question with certainty... the sales rep didn't even know the ref# but in their defense, it was a limited run SMP.any info is appreciated!
