Jaeger-LeCoultre Wins Montres Passion Watch of the Year Award
For the third time since 2004, the Public Prize in the Montres Passion Watch of the Year competition goes to a timepiece from Jaeger-LeCoultre. The 2010 winner is the Duom��tre �� Quanti��me Lunaire, as selected by the public from all around the world voting online. In 2007, the Duom��tre �� Chronographe took the prize. The Duom��tre �� Quanti��me Lunaire incorporates Jaeger-LeCoultre’s latest achievements: it displays time with jumping seconds showing 1/6th of a second increments. Also displayed are the date and the age of the moon. This piece features JLC’s Dual-Wing movement which includes two independent power supplies: one dedicated to creating a perfect timing foundation �C regulated by escapement and balance �C and the other solely for the display of time �C hour, minute and seconds hands �C as well as the date and the age of the moon for the Northern and Southern hemispheres. Movado’s Classic Datron is Back
Movado's new Series 800 Datron is inspired by the classic 1970 Datron automatic chronograph. The new model is the first entry in Movado's Collector's Edition series. The 40mm tonneau-shaped Datron is powered by the ETA caliber 2894-2 automatic chronograph with 37 jewels and a 42 hour power reserve. The round date aperture at 12 is an homage to Movado's iconic Museum dot. Two dials are available: black with silver subdials and silver with black subdials, as shown below. The Datron is available exclusively on a combination brushed and polished stainless steel bracelet with butterfly deployant clasp. The Datron has an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, and exhibition case-back, and it is water-resistant to 5 ATM.The Datron is priced at $2990. Look for it in stores in May.

It's On It's Way & I Couldn't Be Happier !
I've pulled the trigger on the new YG ROC Blue. I was able to source the watch in Europe as they seemed to have gotten the first deliveries. The watch being a new release is commanding high prices with discounts around the 15-20% in the US, not good enough for me. The EU AD happened to be losing its AP AD and offered me a 30% discount which includes the VAT refund plus payment by credit card so miles :). Should be on my wrist on Monday. What is the best looking TT Daytona?
I am looking to get a TT Daytona. I am torn between various dial combinations. I have not seen it in the flesh. In your opinion, what is the best looking one in terms of dial section, with or without diamonds? And why do you prefer it? Can you post pics? thanks
