Longines Column Wheel Chronograph Watch's Day At The Races
It surprised me to learn that Longines has close to 100 years of history with horse racing. In fact, Longines has a lot of history altogether. Like many historic watch brands still alive today, Longines spent much of its life as a watch movement maker run by engineers. This is an interesting point because, according to long-standing Longines CEO Walter von Kanel (who has been at the brand for over 40 years), a major difference between watch brands of today and those of yesterday is who ran the show.He reminds us that watch brands used to revolve around new movements. The engineers would develop a new movement and then design a watch around it. Today, watch brands are more business/marketing minded and design watches around concepts, market needs, etcIn essence, the reverse of what they used to do. Picked up my first AP - FC Diver
Well, I'm super excited to have picked up my first Audemars Piguet...a FC Diver. I had originally looked for a 15300 with the white dial but missed out one and have had trouble finding one. While looking though, I started learning about the Diver's and I fell in love.My only other watch that I have a is a Rolex Submariner with the ceramic bezel and I've worn it as a daily. It has collected its fair share of scratches but I love the watch in that I don't have to worry about it since its built like a tank.I went with the forged carbon with the ceramic bezel since I prefer to wear my watches wherever I go and as a daily, so I went with this one over the SS.Here are some pics (I'm not a photographer so apologies).And a shot with its older brother from another mother.

About PAM 111 rumors
Hi guysI had a PAM 111 and I sold it almost new and buy me a new Rolex Sub. But I felt better with the leather bracelet and now I'm looking back up for a 111 but as I had used. The question is that I read that there were some problems with that watch...you heard anything about that? Be true or rumors? The time I had mine not only no problems but it was an incredible accuracy.I really was looking for a 392 or 312 because I like and think is necessary the Date function but right now my budget does not allow me this.

Rolex Submariner Date 2017 unworn
I have for sale my Rolex Submariner Date (Black Face)2017 for (reluctant)sale.Purchased from Mappin Webb in April 2017. It has never been worn, however stickers were taken off in Mappin Webb before being gift wrapped. Receipts and all documents in box. Absolutely unmarked.

Next on the list with the AD - Buy the 126600?
AD just called and I'm next on the list the SD43. Most likely buying as an investment piece and don't want to unseat my SubC. Worth the speculation to be an investment piece, or just pass and don't deal with the hassle and risk of selling down the road. Thoughts??
