My New Incoming...First in Over 2 Years
It's been a while since I made a change to my small watch collection. TRF introduced me to the world of AP, and so I think it's fitting that I post my new incoming here as well. My first AP is the Panda ROC and also my last addition, which was over 2 years ago. I had enjoyed the ROC tremendously but unfortunately I had to sell it to fund this new piece. I will really miss my Panda ROC, but the new AP is absolutely stunning and exceeds what I had imagined it to be. I had been dreaming of it since it was first released the month after my son was born, and I have now finally acquired it. Hi all, I've just bought a rubber Everest band for my GMT the quality is amazing but unfortunately they only do Rolex. Does anyone know where I can source a similar quality rubber strap for the Seamaster?

Spring Break 2010...Panama City Florida. I did swim in the surf with my PO but did not have the camera on that excursion. Anyway, I finally got some decent pics of my watch on its 9 month anniversary!Also, just before the trip my Dad had his 1965 Rado serviced. He bought it in '65 and wore it a few times, and then put it away. My interest in watches inspired him to get it out and have it serviced...it looks really sharp, and in the pic you can see the reflection of my omege bracelet in its bezel. I am well aware of the forum feeling on Rados, but this all original Diastar 1 is pretty sweet IMO, and its great that my Dad is now enjoying his watch again!

Price of Patek servicing?
Since I will get my 5712 monday, should have been today but nothing, UPS tracking says monday, big disappointment lol, I didn't want to ask before of the price of servicing, thinking that the astronomical price may stop me from buying.Now that my money is in the company's bank account and the watch inbound, what is the price for the normal 5 year servicing, with nothing wrong with the watch, and with no polishing (don't know with PP but with Rolex it's automatic, you have to refuse the polishing.So basically, open the movement, take it apart, oil it, maybe change a few parts a little worn out and put it back together.Are we talking 1000$, 1500$, or more?Am expecting around 1200$, hope I have it right, and it's not 2000$Thanks for telling me the bad news And how is the service?
