Hi all,Its been a while since I last posted in TRF, however am always around reading up trying to understand as much as possible.Thanks to a very informative thread from Thomas (TWS) regarding the 41mm ROC strap conversion, I have made a list of the required parts. But, I do have a few questions I need your help with.AP ROC 41mm Strap Conversion:- Folding clasp DP.0402.018.ST (from reading up not comfortable, pls advise)- 18mm Tang AD.0288.018.ST (the Tang buckle is comfortable, pls advise)- 4 X Plots PL.222.014.ST- 2 X Screws for strap VI.254.066.ST- 2 X Nuts for screw above VI.253.056.ST- 4 X Screws for attaching strap to case VI.254.023.BCI intend to do the conversion on a 26320ST.OO.1220ST.03. 41mm ROC Blue Dial.Questions:1. My first Omega...and as 'they' say, no collection is complete without one.Unfortunately, it won't get too much wrist time just yet. It will soon be sent off to Rik for an overhaul and some modification...stay tuned....to be continued... :)FWIW - I stopped by the NYC Omega Boutique to have this purchase checked out and they were more than helpful. The new service area is great; you can see the watchmaker and everything he is doing from the waiting area. They gladly opened up the watch to confirm the movement, pressure tested, and timed the watch for me as a I waited. Rolex Service sends a nice kit to send your watch
I called Rolex Service NY on Tuesday to request a kit to send my watch in for service. After a 5 minute hold, I just provided my mailing address. Today I received the kit.The box came in a Tyvek envelope:Inside was a box containing mailing supplies....brown tape, USPS Registered mail sticker and form, a return label with Rolex address pre-printed, and an instruction pamphlet:Underneath all the mailing supplies is a thick foam layer to place the watch being returned:The mailing instructions contain a form to fill out to return with the watch:The foam has a round section that separates from the base. The watch goes around the foam and then sits well protected inside the foam layer:The box has gummed flaps that are used to seal the box up once closed....nice touch:My watch is now sealed up and ready for registered mail service. I would say this is a much better setup than anything I would have put together to send in a watch for service.The kit took 3 days to get to me, cost me nothing
