Got to try on a 15400
I finally got to try on a 15400 and some other ROOs. The bracelet catches light at every angle, much much flashier than I expected. What do you think? Does it look big on my wrist?
Moonwatch Bracelet.
Hello,Like many of you, the Speedy moonwatch is one of my all time favourite watches. However, I've felt there's something wrong about the bracelet and now I think I figured it out, it's the balance! The watch feels too heavy for the bracelet to be balanced and I sometimes dropped the watch while handling it due to the imbalance. On the other hand, my Rolex Explorer 1 MK2 seems much more balanced and the bracelet feels like an equal part of the whole watch. I'm pretty sure there's lots of talk about this issue but I just wanted to share my experience. What are your thoughts?MoeP.s: this is a new version hesalite with the massive presentation box.
Vacheron's new challenger to the 5711 / Nautilus..?
Dropped by my AD who couldn't wait to show off his latest delivery.. the brand new Vacheron Overseas ultra-thin. Have to say I'm very, very tempted.. White gold instead of steel. No date, no second hand. Pure simplicity. A few immediate impressions: I) You can definitely spot the white gold sparkle relative to SS. II) it feels ALOT heavier than the 5711.. given its gold perhaps I should not have been surprised, but it really stood out to me. III) the bracelet is gorgeous, but a lot wider & thicker than I expected vs both the 5711 and 15202. IV) the case didn't feel ultra thin; about as wide as the 5711 I was wearing today. Only issue.. It's 2x the price of the 5711. I'm sure that will put most in the Nautilus camp, though by the same token, that makes this Vacheron all the more exclusive and special when you see it out and about. Would be eager to hear what others think.. (will reply to this post with 2 other photos as for some reason my phone can only upload one at a time!)
Flip a 5205G for a Journe?
I've never totally bonded with the 5205G black dial. Seems to have a jumbled personality. Elegant case that wears smaller than the size but with a sporty dial. Large dauphine hands which suit a dress watch but on a two-tone sector dial. From what I've seen the 5205R black works best with the lacquer dial and gives the watch a complete identity but unfortunately not for me. What say you to a trade with a little cash coming my way for the new FP Journe Octa Lune, Salmon dial. Either 40mm or 42mm. Is the salmon color too out there?(I own a 5726 white dial so I have a Patek AC. Pic of 5205G borrowed). Thanks in advance.patek_zps797589b8.jpg20150903_114013_resized.jpg
Incoming - SD43!
After trading in my 114060 for the SD43, I think I've found the perfect diver for me. Ladies and gents, I love this watch. Everything about it, from the wrist presence, dial, cyclops, bracelet, 60 min graduated bezel and the latest movement...this thing rocks! Sure it's heavier and bigger than my Sub, but I actually like that and feel it is the perfect size...even for a daily wear like I'll be using it. So far it's only Day 1 but I can't take my eyes off this watch, it hits the mark on everything in my opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
