Incoming - RG 44mm
Had my eye on this all summer and after Brexit made things tougher for us Brits I finally landed my dream AP. The RG 44 is a truly magnificent piece, muscularly beautiful and dynamic. In fact it has so many visual delights that I did something I haven't done in 20 years, I missed my tube/train stop.It actually wears a bit smaller than I remembered and while it is a big watch, its lugs fall just within my 6.8 inch wrists and feels fine.Big thanks to Alex and his epic and inspirational 44 thread.
New 5296r or pre-owned 5146?
Hi guys,I've been chewing this over for a while now and would appreciate any input. Of the 5296 I'm certain that it would be the R non-sector version, I love the clean lines, applied indices and class of a watch that really doesn't shout but whispers class (poetic licence there, sorry). I'm also attracted to the idea of new. For around similar money a pre owned 5146 is also possible, but on this on not sure if which variant. I wanted a gold watch but the white gold G version seems a better combination than the R. This would probably be my last big watch purchase ( I'm sure that's been said a million times before) so I don't want to get it wrong. Fwiw I'm lucky enough to have a blue dial 5711 so this would be a companion piece that I would probably wear more often.Any thoughts or suggestions welcome
Tough, very tough decision -- what do you guys think about that piece ...
In need of valuable opinions......better safe than sorry , eh? What do you guys think about that ( unexpected ) piece?Too much for beginners? Would be a bet not to lose money in short term -- as newcomers are to be issued on next year, mostly bc the 150th anniversary? Is it practical for wearing or just a piece to admire and look after for next generation.....?wow...too many questions ...I'd really appreciate your opinions about it.Thanks in advance
SS Skydweller or SS Daytona C
Debating between these two. What are the general thoughts? Thanks
