Watches NEWS
Is it just me?
Or does Omega just make some of the coolest, most competent, elegant, durable, sylish, timeless, interesting, underrated and unassuming watches in the world?I've had a Seamaster PO 42mm for the last 5 years and it's been my go-to watch for tough weekend work. It has withstood the beating, kept great time, looks cooler than snot, is incredibly comfortable and continues to look like new (with just a healthy bit of patina). I also really enjoy the Speedy's and am sure one will find its way into my watch cabinet at some point as well. Might even be one of the new 9300 Speedy's!!...So I know we're in the Rolex Forums here, and that most of us own and enjoy Rolexes (and other fine watches), but I find the appeal of the Omega brand and its watches to be stronger than ever. Anyone agree?
PO 8500 owners please advise on potential problem
Hi guys, I was hoping anyone with a po 8500 could chime in. When I unwind my crown it doesn't pop out like my other watches. Hen in winding positions, my other watches have a nori bile spring to them, you push the crown into the case and screw it down. My po8500 does not, it unscrews and doesn't pop out, just sits there, then has no spring when pushing in to screw it back down. Is this how these watches are supposed to operate or is this an issue?
Suggestions For First Rolex
I will be traveling to South Dakota next month as I have been chosen by the tribal elders to be a member of an advisory committee focusing on the development of a small gaming casino. My business suit already ordered, I am now considering a new wristwatch in order to present a more professional appearance amongst the developers and investors. I currently wear a G-Shock in my profession as a construction supervisor. What model Rolex would best serve this purpose? I am strictly a blue jeans person and would prefer something that is all-around practical but not too showy. Should I consider other brands as well?My current and available allotment towards this purchase is roughly $5000. If I sell my extra Jeep, I can add another $4500 to the mix but would prefer not to go over $10,000 for a wristwatch expenditure. We are a humble people and wearing an overly expensive watch to these meetings might send out the wrong smoke signals.I also should note that every fall we hold a tribal pow-wow whic
Can a fluted bezel be added later by Rolex?
Looking at a DJ2 with the smooth bezel and wondering if later down the road i can send it in to rolex to have the fluted bezel put on? If so any idea of the cost?
