Graham Chronofighter Oversize GMT Black Steel Watch
Let me share with you a few of the words that Graham uses to describe its newer Chronofighter Oversize GMT Black Steel watch collection. The name itself is long enough as it is. Let's see here, according to our friends at the British Masters this watch is "chic, gutsy, dogged, classy, undaunted, a milestone, magnetic, skilled, extra sensitive, faithful, and a backslider." Wow, that sounds like rock band made up of a KGB spy, an ex dictator turned psychologist, Alexander the Great, and a criminal who was formerly an arch bishop. I had to look up "backslider" by the way. No, it isn't a cool way of falling down the stairs. Apparently it is a religious term for a "saved" person who has fallen into sinned. Oh Graham, you dogged backslider you.Ignoring the thesaurus-derived spew we can focus on the watches themselves. The design is a bit of a hybrid between some of what Graham has offered in the past. 1936-39 Breitling Royal Air Force Chronograph 2458 RARE
I wasn't sure where the best place was to post this, as it could fit a number of topics. I'm sure the Mods will decide.Having no knowlrdge of Breitling watches I found this quite intriguing, and wondered if the Breitling owners would like to comment...cgi.ebay.co.uk/1936-39-Breitl...item4aa8bfa866Here is the description:For no reserve auction, 1936-39 Breitling RAF (British Royal Air Force) 2458, PATT. 3169 = (Worlds 1st 2x Button Chronograph.) Also Breitling's 1st and only MOD RAF Commission wristwatch. Read the history of Breitling. This watch is where it all began and its 100% all parts original. This is the rarest Breitling money can buy. It is the true Godfather of the Navitimer etc. The watch has its original dial and it is the best I have ever seen. Never restored it also has original radium luminous 1to12 and original hands etc. (So many of these very rare Breitlings have replaced or restored dials. My watch is how they should look.) The Breitling signed stainless steel case h
Any Speedmaster 376.0822 owners ?
There's a lot of watches out there I'd like to have but this possibly the only one I'd get close to calling grailDue to contract\ employment uncertainty I had to pass on one late 2009 at what now seems a ludicurosly low price of $5.5. Few days after it sold - I got extended !! Maybe meant not to be. Maybe ..... !!I see one just popped up on another forum (check out watchrecon). $11KAnyway - not at that price for me. Interested to hear any owner stories - how they acquired etc
16610 caseback on 16600?
Let's assume I never dive to the rated depth of the 16600 and I want the watch body to sit a little closer to my wrist, does anyone know if the 16610 caseback will fit on the 16600?
