Alpina Introduces the Alpiner 4 Flyback Chronograph
Last week, Alpina looked to turn a few heads and break some technological ground at Baselworld with their interesting C even exciting C new release, the new Alpiner 4 Flyback Chronograph. The new chrono features Alpina's brand new in-house flyback chronograph movement. Dubbed the Calibre AL-760, it's a new take on the classic column wheel chronograph mechanism. The column wheel is there, controlling the start-stop-reset functions. But instead of actual discrete columns, the wheel has a single central star shaped column. The star's recesses interact with the control lever the same way columns would in a conventional column wheel design. The result is a butter-smooth actuating mechanism for start-stop and start-stop-start-stop (and on and on, if the operator wishes to do so) functionality. The flyback function operates conventionally, with the push piece at 4 o'clock. Actuate this pusher with the chronograph running and you instantaneously restart the chrono timing from zero. All this functi
To My Enabler Friends...
I'll keep this short and sweet, not giving up any details but i've swayed from the SS volcano/panda pieces that I wanted (Panda the most) , keeping my Rubber Clad and adding something very nice this week ;)I already made my decision, but wondering what you guy's would choose, personally, and why :) It's been a tough decisionSo here it is...Bumble Beeor44mm Forged Carbon?
Omega PO Bracelet Swap? Bezel too?
Hi all,New to the forum and looking for some assistance. I have an Omega PO that has the black rubber band with orange stitching. How difficult is it swap out that band for a ss bracelet? I would like to switch up the style of the watch every once in a while. Is all I need the new bracelet and a $20 link/band tool or pin compression tool? This watch also has the orange bezel. How hard would that be to swap as well? Or is that more for a watchmaker to do, than me?Thanks!
Opinion. Keep 5164 or trade for 5168G
I️ love my 5164 but the 5168G looks incredible. Can't justify keeping both. Price difference aside. What does everyone think?
Curious about sales numbers for each model
Hi folks,This is the first thread I've ever started, so please be gentle. In reading all the different threads and comments about limited availability for various steel professional models, I became curious about what the total sales figures might be on a model by model basis.I'm not referring to a dollar value amount, but a total number of units per year.I'm sure that this information isn't readily available from Rolex, but maybe some of you know or are affiliated with an AD or a trusted seller here that would have these numbers.Being located in Toronto these days, of particular interest to me would be to know what numbers of each model were sold last year in a typical large city in the US or Canada, or even out of a typically-sized AD...Thanks and I hope this proves to be of interest to folks on here.
