The Rolex Cellini Collections: Here’s What You Need to Know
Rolex watches are the most recognized, high-profile timepieces available. When the occasion calls for something dressed-up, look no further than the manufacture's Cellini line of elegant dress watches. Rolex launched three new and distinctive Cellini families at Baselworld 2014. Here's what you need to know.Cellini timepieces are known for their refined elegance and simplicity, and the new families continue that tradition. Each family is named for the information it conveys: Time, Date, and Dual Time C names as pure as the watches themselves.Though the families differ based on degree of mechanical complication, they share several attributes. The cases are available exclusively in 18k white or Everose gold that has been cast by Rolex in its own foundry. At 39 mm, the cases are perfectly sized for modern dress watches. Each case is topped by a two-tier bezel C one smooth and the other with the trademark Rolex fluting. Similar fluting provides functional decoration on the caseback. A spec
Baselworld 2013: Casio's Newest G-Shock Gravity Defier Aviator Watches
It's Baselworld, the time of genuinely fascinating new watch releases and Casio does not want to disappoint. New models in the Gravity Defier series have been announced: they are heavily loaded with technology and are built to resist such centrifugal forces only fighter pilots could submit them to.First, we have the flagship, analog, GW-A1100, now featuring an advanced compass function and other enhancements. The analog-digital GA-1000 is an addition also featured at Basel, also based on an aviator concept. It has improved overall and with night-legibility, is not shy of features.Click any of these images to see details in larger images.Let's start with the top-of-the-line GW-A1100, the new flagship of the G-Shock Gravity Defier series. As you can see on the image above, it has an all analog face, but that doesn't mean a loss of functions. On the contrary. For starters, the watch now incorporates a digital compass, just what was missing in its predecessor. The way it works is simple en
Tissot Introduces a Regulateur, a Hand-Winder and a Silicon Hairspring at Baselworld 2016
Baselworld 2016 felt a bit quieter and calmer than previous years. Brands released fewer items, and most generally played it safer than years before. If these were signs of an economic down turn, you wouldn’t know it from Tissot, who had 240 new models (including all variants). In fact, Tissot is at the top of their game right now, saturating the European market and securing a position as the NBA’s official time keeper in the US. This year, they showed us a lot of great stuff, too much to show you here. So we chose three cool, different and high value pieces that will be coming out this year. Enjoy.Le Locle RegulateurTissot's Le Locle series is an undeniable bestseller for the brand. It's not hard to see why; the line boasts an impressive blend of elegant styling and quality construction at an attractive price point, making it immediately appealing for customers across different segments. For Baselworld 2016, Tissot announced their latest addition to the ever-growing Le Loc
Need tips buying my first Royal Oak
HeyI am buying myself a RO. I just want some input from people with experience.Currently I only have one offer, to trade my 116610 (fullset, 2012) with a guy and pay about $4700 to get a 15202 (no box, no paper) from 2004 but in very good condition. Service history unknown, so it might be in need of a full service. Is that a good deal? I was going for a 15300 at first but this is what I got at the moment. I don't know what I miss if I get the 15202.If this isn't a good deal, what is? Please help me and if you have tips where to look (some shop, dealer or anything) in Europe it would be great to know!Grateful for the help I can get!
