A Look At Cartier's New Maison de Metiers dArts In La Chaux-de-Fonds
If, somewhere out there, there is a harmonious valley in which watch-lovers can meditate, if there is a monastery in which they can discover inner peace – then Cartier’s new Maison de Métiers d’Arts in La Chaux-de-Fonds is likely to be that Shangri-La. It’s a place where one can admire and concentrate on the meticulous effort that makes the dials of haute horology.Cartier has transformed an old barn into a state-of-the-art watchmaking facility, showroom and greeting space for guests. In doing so, they’ve fulfilled the manufacture’s goal of providing a space that blends the company’s rich history with its current innovative watchmaking techniques. 2 OF 15 The ground floor sets the mood in blending the old and the new. AP Carbon Diver - even better than I hoped!
Just purchased one from Takuya on this forum. Watch came in perfect condition as stated. It is truly beautiful. I had never seen one in person. Friend has the 44 carbon and I've seen a bumble bee so I had an idea but I think this is my favorite. I was debating between the ceramic and carbon but I'm very active and wanted something light as possible. Love the all ceramic in the pic but also love the contrast of the ceramic bezel on the forged carbon. It's stunning! Had a 44mm ROO stainless, sold it. As you can see I missed not having a ROO so here it is ;).rolexforums/showthrea...62#post5809962
My "greatest regret from not buying" moment...
For some reason, perhaps an unhealthy combination of booze and pills (totally kidding about that), I was having a remembering my greatest regret from not buying moment this evening and it turns out that it was actually over an Omega. About nine years ago (you know, when MSRP on a Seamaster 300M chronometer was $1,750), when I was still in college, I was in a jeweler in my home town and what did they have left in their case? A NOS Omega Dynamic chronograph. Retail on it was something ridiculously low, like $895 and I could have gotten a decent discount on it, but for a guy in school it still seemed like too much. Then, the other day I saw a used one for $1,250... So, anyone else have a moment like this?
Swiss Made- new dial?
Looking at a preowned GMT II 16710 and not sure if its all original. Its a U serial, so 1997/1998 as I understand. But the dial is Swiss Made which I think was only 2000+.Is this a replacement dial? What sort of impact on value for this?
