Seiko Wins Sports Watch of the Year at the Grand Prix dHorlogerie de Genve
Seiko’s Spring Drive Spacewalk Commemorative Edition was named the Sports Watch of the Year at the 2010 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genve. This accolade is the most prestigious yet awarded to Seiko's unique Spring Drive technology. The Spacewalk was taken into space by Richard Garriott and worn during his stay onboard the International Space Station in 2008. In accepting the award on behalf of the President & CEO of Seiko Watch Corporation, Mr. Shinji Hattori, Shu Yoshino, General Manager of Public Relations & Advertising, described the watch: This is the only watch in the world designed from scratch to be worn during a spacewalk. It is a watch that brings mankind a step closer to the stars as its hands glide across the dial, plotting time with no tick', in perfect harmony with the eternal motion of the planets. I thank you sincerely for this award which will be the pride of the entire Seiko family. Along with the winners in all the other categories, the Seiko Spri
I give thanks for my new Neil Armstrong Speedie!
It's a 105.012-65. Pictures from the seller; I'll take my own soon enough. Dial, hands, and bezel look to be in fantastic shape, with an even patina. Bracelet is perfect, though it will be switched out for a JB Champion a la Neil. Can't wait to see her in person!
Manual wind speedies....comments?
As of late, i have been infatuated with the original moon watch but the problem is that they are all manual winds, not autos. Anyone own this timepiece and found it to be a pain to be winding your watch every morning? Also, are there mechanisms to protect you from over winding the watch? Any comments will be welcomed.Thanks.

Hi AllI have been off the forum for some time and just back on. I noticed that above Seller is banned. David & Alan Gross from bridge street jewellers. I bought a PAM from him years back, should I be concerned about it’s authenticity? Anytime I took it to AD they would always ask me where I bought it.. I thought it may have been due to grey market. The papers I have are stamped in Lisbon.
Now part of the Panerai Club
After trying one on in the Caribbean a couple of weeks ago. I have been been on the search. Now I am the proud owner of a PAM 564. Now I am on the hunt for some vintage looking bands...
