Pellikaan Timing FC-Utrecht Limited Edition Watch
Dutch watch maker Pellikaan Timing has just released a really sexy limited edition set of watches made for the Dutch Football team FC-Utrecht. I couldn't care less about soccer, but the design is pretty nifty. Loving that custom NATO strap done exclusively for Pellikaan with the red and white stripes down the middle. My guess is that the logo placed in the subsidiary seconds dial is that of the FT Utrecht football team. I still don't know why teams are called clubs in Europe? That always confuses me. Or is that only with soccer? The watches are in steel and 45mm wide. Inside is a manually wound Swiss ETA movement. The standard Pellikaan dial is a great mixture of modern and classic. Hand-built in The Netherlands, the limited edition of 25 pieces Pellikaan Timing FC Utrecht watch costs 995 Euros. 26405ce or 26400io
Hi folks,Coming over from the Pam and Rolex world, looking for my first AP ROO and torn between the new ceramic 26405ce or the titanium 26400io. I know I want 44mm, so the 26470s aren't in the running. I aware of & OK with the issues that some of the movements have, and I am not concerned about price difference, guessing potential future value, scratching the watch, or re-selling it. I see this as a desk-diving daily watch. While I know the answer to this question is usually The one that sings to you, I'm curious to hear comments or input from the new model ceramic and titanium owners that might highlight something I haven't thought about yet. My one concern IS that I have only tried on the 26400io in person. I haven't seen the 26405ce in person and fear I won't love it when I see it. The ceramic iteration isn't exactly sitting in abundance in the back rooms of the ADs... Happy to currently have this problem :) Thoughts?
Favourite Bond watch
Absolutely silly thread I know, but I'm bored. We all know the 6538 is the archetypal Bond watch, but of all the watches featured throughout the franchise which would you chose irrespective of price? My personal choice (and absolutely nothing to do with the embarrassingly lingering camerawork in Skyfall!)...
Differences between 1523 and 1499
These appear to be the same watch other than one is 42 and the other is 44mm. Does anyone know the difference in thickness between the two? Any other differences to be aware of? My gut says to go for the 44 as Panerai's are supposed to be big and bold, but I'd love some feedback between the two sizes. Thanks,Mike 44mm42mm42mm vs my Explorer 2Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
