3 Standout Complicated Watches from Hong Kong “Watches & Wonders” Fair
Hong Kong’s inaugural “Watches and Wonders” salon, held September 25-28, featured 13 luxury watch brands, several of which launched significant new models at the fair. Here is a look at three of them, a perpetual calendar with tourbillon from A. Lange & S?hne, and minute repeaters from Vacheron Constantin and Audemars Piguet.A. Lange & S?hne, the only German watchmaker to exhibit at Watches and Wonders, unveiled its extremely limited (15 pieces), immensely complicated, and intricately decorated Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Handwerkskunst. Like the original version of the watch released last year, this one has a perpetual calendar that features Lange’s patented peripheral month ring, as well as indications for the date, day, leap year, and moon-phase, all of which advance instantaneously. The tourbillon mechanism has a patented stop-seconds function that can be observed from the back of the movement. The “Handwerkskunst” moniker refers
Breitling Top Time
Does anyone here own a Breitling, three-register Top Time? I have one I purchased over twenty years ago and see very little about this watch on any of the forums. When I purchased mine, it was an NOS, new old stock, Breitling and was manufactured back in the 1970's. I purchased it from a watch shop in Miami that had several vintage NOS Breitlings in their display case. At the time, it seemed like a great purchase. If you own one of these vintage Breitlings, how about posting a photo here.Thanks.
Finally know what I want - Now how do I get it??
Hi All!Nice forum you gentlemen got here If anyone would be kind to share with me some options with regards to what's the most effective way for me to buy this watch, it'd be great.Omega: Speedmaster Moon Phase - 3876.50.31My concern is with it being rare (or maybe not in the stainless steel, black dial version, still haven't figured that part out from the research) and with quite a few replicas of it out there floating around. Also I am considering RF as my source, providing the seller has credible reputation. Please let me know if you know anyone or have any ideas. Many Thanks!!
5127 vs 3998
All: Bought a great 5127 a month or two ago. I have normal wrists (~7 1/4) but am wondering about trading down for a 3998. Anyone do the same - and anyone happen to have a pic of both side by side? And is the 3998 a huge quailty downgrade? Thanks a million!
From annual to perpetual...
Hi,Last I posted, I had gotten my hands on a 5726. Love it, wear it every day! Today I was lucky enough to add to the collection. I had originally contemplated the 5164 since the dual time zone would be very handy for me, but since I've traded my Daytona to a 5167, I wanted to fill a hole in the more dressy end of the spectrum. A few obligatory new on-wrist phone shots below. Forgive the ski jacket... I really love the dial on this 5159g, it has a lot of depth. The second photo displays that nicely.
