Hudson Hero Now JeanRichard Watch Ambassador
Contributed by Aaron SigmondMONDAY EVENING, a full winter moon shone down on the Hudson River, playing with the reflection of Manhattan's lights on the water and ice that, just over four years ago, Captain Chesley Sully Sullenberger III used as a runway for his Miracle on the Hudson landing of the stricken Airbus A320 he was piloting.JeanRichard COO Bruno Grande & Captain SullyThis time, though, the river was merely a placid backdrop as Captain Sully was feted by JeanRichard COO Bruno Grande and guests at the Standard Hotel, a landmark in Manhattan's Meatpacking District. First came a cocktail reception at Le Bain lounge 18 floors above the Hudson offering panoramic views of where US Airways Flight 1549 made its splash landing and, later, dinner in the hotel's High Line Room, with splendid river views as well. There were many reasons for the festivities: the debut of Captain Sully as JeanRichard's newest brand ambassador, the premiere of the 1681 and Terrascope collections a
AP RO Skeleton came back from warranty work with case damage
I just received my AP back from warranty work and it now has some scratches on the bezel and a tiny nick at the top of the bezel. It was bad enough that a watch this expensive had the crown come out completely when it was basically brand new. But getting a basically new watch back that is this expensive with new scratches and a nick on it is unacceptable. This is terrible quality control on APs part, and for a watch this expensive I expected better...
Adventuring with the Diver
The Diver's popularity seems to keep growing here on the forum. I got mine in late April as my second AP (just three weeks after my Panda came into my life). It's a great go-anywhere kind of watch! After seeing Submarino's adventures I thought id share a trip I took with mine.I went to the San Juan Islands off the coast of Washington State. Beautiful spot to relax and find a different kind of island experience. It's accessible only by ferry or plane. I took a De Havilland Seaplane! Interesting Omega Limited Editions at Tourbillon Boutique Las Vegas
While browsing the shops at Crystals Shopping Mall in City Center Las Vegas, I had to visit the Tourbillon Boutique to look at the Omegas (of course) :)The salespeople were very professional and went out of their way to answer all of my questions. While I was there I had the privilege of seeing the Omega Tourbillon Skeleton Platinum Limited Edition. It was number 10 of 10 and the last one of its kind in the world. It can be taken home for $ 325,000 U.S. I also saw a regular Omega Tourbilon with a 14K case and band for only $99,000. It has a kind of rounded antique looking bracelet that reminded me of an old Constellation. Somebody nicknamed the bracelet the Wizard of Oz bracelet :)For all of you Planet Ocean LiquidMetal fans that have always wanted one, they currently have 2 in stock. I am talking about the LiquidMetal PO that was released 2 years ago in a limited edition of 1948 pieces. Tourbillon currently has numbers 1580 & 1582 out of 1948 for the very fashionable price of $ 580
