Daniel Roth Endurer Chronosprint Watch
This is probably the nicest Daniel Roth watch I know of, which is saying a lot since Daniel Roth watches are usually REALLY NICE. No, it isn't the fanciest, or most complex watch - and to a large degree the watch is a total contradiction. For example, the name "Chronosprint" makes you think of measuring quick short times, when in reality, it is just the opposite with this self described chronograph for measuring longer measurements of time (because it does not count the seconds). Only hours and minutes are measures in the subsidiary dial with two hands that replicates the chronograph look of some modern Patek Philippe chronograph watches, along with a few other makes. The dial that looks like a smaller watch face has one hand to measure minutes (60), and another to measure hours (12). Daniel Roth describes this complication as a simple but effective feature of the watch. The movement is exclusive to this Endurer Chronosprint, and is the DR 1306 automatic mechanical calibre. My new ladies Speedmaster
I am very happy to present my first Omega timepiece that I just acquired.I am now another fortunate owner of a brand new ladies’ 38 mm Speedmaster, automatic chronograph, “grey-on-grey”, caliber 3304.Facts and specifications are all available on Omega website, and we all know the history. Therefore, I offer just an early, short and humble observation, to help you to decide for (or against) this timepiece. My strongest uncertainty was the size. My wrist is 6.2”, I am fairly tall, and I am happy to say that 38 mm feels like right dimension for the purpose. The watch is little over 14 mm thick, which is about the biggest thickness I think I should go for.Alligator strap with deployant clasp could not be more comfortable. Dial is in my opinion stunning. Every time I look at it, it changes color, and it is always nicer than before. It is very easy to read. I am a big fan of arabic numerals, and really fond of unassuming but definite presence of three small chronograph
Received the " call " earlier in NE London lol
I am happy to share that we took a call from Rolex/Tudor over in Harrods late this afternoon offering one of the Harrods BBs,,,,,rare to get a call from an AD in this part of the world,,, After a nice chat this morning which I posted in the long term Harrods bb thread to then be offered a numbered piece is a huge and welcome surprise so I be off in a couple of days to pick her up,,, Still in shock,,,
My fellow obsessives
Is the shade/color of the blue dial the same on the DJ 41 as the Day/Date white gold model? I believe the latter dial is a slightly brighter blue. Thoughts? Also, what are your opinions of the way the Roman numerals are laid out on the white gold Day/Date models? For example, instead of IV for the number 4, it reads llll. Why do you think they chose that layout? Aesthetics?
