Off to Geneva tomorrow...
The weather forecast is good and I feel like a day out.... so I have decided on a quick trip to Geneva tomorrow (about a 2 hour drive from home).I intend visiting the PP salon (one of only three) to check out Aquanauts and Nautilus (Nautili?)....and AP's Crown Jewel boutique to see the various Royal Oaks.I shall make sure I have a good lunch, if only to follow Gerardo's example, and will certainly pay curtesy visits to a couple of Rolex ADs...I do not intend purchasing on this trip (famous last words), but hope to come away having decided between a 15400, ROC, and Aquanaut. Will post an update when I get back.....
Strap perfection on Panda
Hi all,Have posted several threads asking for strap recommendations for my Panda. After trying out several combos like the hornback and rubber, finally settled on the Singapore GP strap which is hopefully the best option for it!Thanks to Mike (kilyung) and Martin (iLLGT2) for your advice, and others as well!Apologies for the poor quality pics..
Thoughts on next generation Liquidmetal possibilities?
I really like everything about the current Liquidmetal offering except the size and color ;) I am really hoping they 1) offer it in black next year and 2) offer it in 42mm.I know that sounds a lot like the LM LE and it is but I really want Titanium. I'd probably just buy an LM LE if I could find one but I'd be just has happy with a Titanium LM in Black and I be really happy if it came in 42mm.Thoughts?
Which Nautilus to really balance out the collection?
Hi All,As you can see, my current collection consists of a '68 Omega Speedmaster Professional (Transitional), Patek Philippe Annual Calendar, Pre-ceramic Rolex GMT Master II, Vacheron Constantin Patrimony, and currently a Panerai Luminor 1950 3-day automatic. Since getting my AC and Patrimony, I have found that the PAM is just too big and heavy to be comfortable so am now considering to flip it and buy a Nautilus. Many of the pictures that I have seen of that watch tend to make it look quite big as well but I recently had a chance to try it on and was amazed at how comfortable it wears on the wrist. It can also be dressed up better than the PAM. I am convinced this is the way to go but am now debating between the 5711 blue, 5711 white, or the 5712. The 5711 blue seems to be the iconic watch (and I have seen numerous polls here to suggest that is the better choice) but I also really like the look of the white as well. Similarly, I like the complication of the 5712 and the hints of r
