Grand Seiko Watch Roadshow 2012 At Arizona Fine Time
To be honest with you, I don't really like shopping for watches. I've visited some high-end stores, but have never had a good experience. Haughty and ignorant clerks make for a bad time. It's somewhat understandable in that most customers are not watch geeks, but I'm still averse. So keep that in mind when I tell you that I had a blast visiting the watch showroom at Arizona Fine Time for their Grand Seiko roadshow. This is an unusual place indeed.(Ariel visited last time, and I recommend reading his writeup here as I'll try to not duplicate what he said.)To my mind, the most interesting thing about AZ Fine Time is the back-story of how they came to be selling fine watches and cigars. Mitchel Hirsh, the owner, was a former commodities trader from Chicago who got started selling cigars, and then a few of his personal watches. What he found is that men, just like me, were not well served by watch sellers, and that a relaxed, guy-friendly atmosphere made for much happier customers. I bought a 41mm RG ROC last week, but I'm thinking about trading up to a RG ROO. Which one would you pick?
Stolen Rolex Submariner Serial Z502F877
Posting in the hope that one day this causes some Karma to come around 😪. Whilst I am here a cautionary tale. In Barcelona this year for Mobile World Congress I was leaving a bar at around 11pm when a two guys appeared and snatched my iPhone (X, brand new). The situation got far worse however when I followed them around the corner and was confronted by 4 others (in hindsight exactly what they wanted). A fight ensued which ended up with me on the ground being kicked to hell and a boot in my wrist being used to then remove my beloved sub. I'd knocked one out and after they disbanded caught another and dragged him to the police, he's in jail now, but no Rolex, and no insurance sadly. Apparently a gang there positions people in bars to watch for target watches and calls them up to attack them as they leave. Seems I was lucky as a German girl attending the show did the same as I and was stabbed a few times. I'm a Barcelona veteran and still got screwed over so look out all.Stolen Ro
Best deal you have got on the Black Bay?
Curious?
Just curious: those that own Tudor, do you own Rolex too?
Well the title says it allReason why I want to know: Tudor once was a cheap man rolexToday I believe that changed. I suspect most Tudor owners have rolex(es) tooAnd if that case it's not a fact of being able to afford it or not
