Daniel Strom Angelus Watch
If you fancy a watch with engraved feathers and what look like naked male mannequins, the new Angelus by Daniel Strom could be perfect for you.? This timepiece is the thematic antecedent to the previous Daniel Strom Agonium that came out about two years ago. The Agonium focused on imagery of skulls and death (I called it the ultimate goth watch), while the Angelus is about angels - yet it still feels rather Gothic.Daniel Strom hand-sculpts the design on the tonneau style case, and it is available in pretty much any luxury metal you want. Sorry, no steel or titanium models. Why? Too hard to engrave - especially titanium. Wow, what a pain that would be. However, the Angelus case is actually two sections. An inner steel barrel and an outer section which is engraved. The Angelus design aesthetic is like "serious angels." Thematically serious to the point of being a bit creepy. I mean at least the skulls on the Agonium had faces. These guys all look like posing artist's dolls, and put into
Went in leather came out Rubber!
Well I bought the rubber strap for my 41mm Rose Gold Chrono a few months ago and Finally decided to put it on. Thanks to Brian Lau he also taught me a trick about the way you put the straps on. Instead of doing it the traditional way where the clasp is facing you I swapped it so the clasp is facing away and wears a million times more comfortable! Wish I had known this earlier and would have swapped it a long time ago. Enjoy the pics.

Vintage PloProf Advice
I am the sole owner of a vintage PloProf that I purchased back in 1977 or so from Don Brod's dive shop in Austin, Texas. I want some advice. I used extensively when I was a professional underwater photographer and scuba instructor. My watch had years of use (at least ten years!) and thousands of hours of underwater time. I trusted it with my life and it never failed me. But, being young and having to spend almost all my money on underwater photo gear, I did absolutely no maintenance on the watch. It has been in my safe for at least at least 10 years and I got it out last week and wound it and set the date and it still works like a charm. Keeps perfect time compared to Rolex and Casio G-Shock and the date functions too. The dial is faded, the case is worn with dents and scratches, the crystal has a few scratches. When I was diving a lot the watch was the best piece of safety equipment a diver had. Scubapro had just released it's first dive computer (the old bladder model that tried to
