Blancpain Dives to 500 Fathoms
On the eve of Baselworld 2009, Blancpain presents the big sister of its now famous Fifty Fathoms watch: the brand-new 500 Fathoms. More high-performance and high-tech than ever, the brand's latest diver's watch is water resistant to 1000 meters. The 48 mm brushed titanium case is equipped with a helium decompression valve. To enhance readability, Blancpain has designed large phosphorescent Arabic numerals that are hollowedinto the sunray-brushed metal appliques. The luminescent coating on the hour-markers, bezel markings and hands, along with the red tip of the sweep seconds hand, enhance readability in all circumstances. The luminescent base of the black dial reveals its fluorescence only in the dark, while the date appears in white against a black background at 4 o'clock. The unidirectional ratcheted bezel facilitates handling and avoids any involuntary extension of the dive time. Crafted in titanium and sapphire crystal, it features a gentle cambered relief that reduces the risk o
AP info
Hello everyone got a few questions, if use would be so kind to answer Think I'm getting a 15710 diver soon and wanted to know where it ranks in the AP line up ? I don't know much about APs if it was Rolex I would know right away the sub is iconic and will always hold its value etc etc. So wanting some more info from use AP guys.Is the 42 diver not as sought after as the 44s ?What is re sale value like are they soft ? Been recommended to look at the 44 ROO but I think 42 is big enough for me and if I'm honest I've just never been a fan of chronograph watches in general.
Three Shades of Gold: White, Yellow or Rose
Nowadays, I'm looking for an adventure among Calatrava cross-branded timepieces. I had decided on 5227R before I didn't see the similar one, 5296R that was about $10,000 cheaper. While I was disenchanting after 5227s, I thought to move up a complicated watch: It was 5146 or 5205. 5205 was too large, too modern-looking and too much expensive for me. Also it was hard to find in rose. 5146 was right. The ideas in my mind haven't been clear yet. Maybe I need a lot of time to think on it.But the question isn't the model choice, it's decision making on the gold shade: White gold, yellow gold or rose goldWhat do you think about those metals? Which one is suitable for whom?
