Ulysse Nardin Unveils the Monaco 2010 Marine Diver Limited Edition at the 2010 Monaco Yacht Show
Ulysse Nardin affirms its place on the oceans once again as an official sponsor of the 2010 Monaco Yacht Show and celebrates the superyacht exhibition's 20th anniversary with the new, limited-edition Monaco 2010 Marine Diver, to be unveiled at the show’s opening today. Created exclusively for the Monaco show which runs September 22-25 at Port Hercules, the timepiece honors Ulysse Nardin's nautical legacy in high horology. Ulysse Nardin marine chronometers have been guiding captains and their crews with precision since 1846.The Monaco 2010 Marine Diver C limited to 100 pieces and individually numbered C features a specially treated 45.8mm stainless-steel case. A complex vulcanization process leaves the case wearing a matte-black rubber coating, imparting a sporty look and comfortable feel. The exhibition caseback reveals a self-winding movement, and the rotor decoration proclaims the Monaco affiliation. The black strap and dial are awash with Ulysse Nardin’s signature wave pa
Royal fan of Vacheron Constantin watch Marlon Brando
Don't forget on June 24, 1954. Neither do we, but if you are a little older than us small and anything a fan of Marlon Brando, you may know is the date that the epic film "on the waterfront" was released. The film won a record setting 8 Academy Awards, including Brando for the best lead actor (his first Oscar).
Your input appreciated -- pre-owned AP RO condition
Hi all -- I am looking to purchase this 18-year old RO, 18K case with solid back. It comes with box/papers.I am complete newbie to AP, and would appreciate your inputs. I am not sure if the watch shows signs of over polishing (which I gather is a deal breaker for most people), or other issues I need to be aware of. Thanks in advance!
Once Liquid Metal becomes standard, How will the Limited Edition be different?
Admittedly I'm becoming obsessed with this watch -I can't wait till I get one so that I can quickly lose interest in it!But I was wondering what you guys think...I think that it is a given that after Basel 2011 all PO's will have the Liquid metal Bezel/dial..So, how will the 1948 limited editions be different? The red SEAMASTER?THE dial itself?the Words 'limited edition?or will you have to pull out the box and papers to show that it's one of the limited?
My First Rolex - wahoo!!
So after many years of watch collecting I finally joined the family. I jumped around to different Rolex models and couldn't make up my mind. In the end the deciding factor for my first one came down to two important features. It needed to be ceramic so that it wouldn't scratch easy and the glidelock feature. My wrist is 7.75 and most watches I own are either loose or tight. Very hard to have that perfect fit and be comfortable. This will not be my last Rolex. Short list below of my choices: Short list (1 will be next purchase):1. Submariner (Date/ND)- I didn't want to get a Sub because they are so common and almost clich. There is a reason though why they are so well looked upon. ND was classic and loved the symmetrical dial. Date is nice to have, but I never use it really. 2. Yachtmaster blue dial- Gorgeous watch and is my second favorite. Didn't purchase due to possibility/likelihood of scratches on bezel. I like the PCL, but hate the scratches3.
