Any thoughts on the....
Transocean Limited Edition Chrono, with the blue dial? Haven't seen it in person yet, but it looks rather nice in the 2013 chronolog.....
Look of a Blue Dial 5712r ?
I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to photoshop this...I didn't think it actually existed yet (unless I'm incorrect). Thought I'd take a quick stab at it. This is the first time I've uploaded a pic so hopefully it shows. Your thoughts?
Silly Patek AD question
I am traveling to NYC and Denver during the next couple months. I live in another state. I was wondering, in the experience of the members here, will a Patek AD let me buy a watch in their store and I could avoid sales tax since I live in another state? Or are you just outta luck? Thanks! Nearly got scammed
I posted a WTB for a Pam 161 on Paneristi and after a few days I got a hit. I waited a couple of weeks and responded. The guy had the 161. I told him I had trust issues and needed references and pictures of everything that comes with the watch. He sends a bunch of pictures that looked pretty good but none of the pictures showed everything together. It showed box and papers and then a picture of the watch on its black cushion. I asked for everything together as there were one set of pictures of the watch with bracelet on and another with the strap. I asked for pictures of the watch as it is today. He sends numerous pictures of the watch showing today's date. So I'm still not sure so I google search that watch and look through a bunch of pictures and there it is. The exact same picture that he sent me on a dealer site. That guy thought I wouldn't check and just believe him. His one reference did respond saying he was a good seller. Obviously they were together. Honestly I have never had
In honor my late father, my new Rolex
I'm not usually one who refers to certain Rolex watches by nicknames such as Hulk and Batman. But I now have a new piece in my collection that will proudly refer to as Kermit.I don't know why I didn't pursue one of these watches previously. I very much liked them but didn't see myself owning one. But after meeting a gentleman on a cruise ship recently who was wearing one and having a conversation about it and then also perusing the many photos on this forum and elsewhere for months, I decided I had to have one to join my GMT BLNR, Daytona Ceramic and SubC Date. So yesterday it arrived and I love it. I've had other Rolex watches come and go also, but this one shall not leave. So why does it honor my late father? Well, you see my father's name was Kermit. In fact, my middle name is also Kermit. So yes, this is definitely a watch I should own. It's an unusual name, yes, but a very personal name for me - not just a green muppets character. And when I wear it I will always think of
