JCK 2015: Bovet’s New Virtuoso VII Takes the Stage in Vegas
Bovet Fleurier introduced the first two pieces in its Complications collection in 2014. The third makes its debut at this week's JCK Watch and Jewelry show at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. The new watch has a mouthful of a moniker Bovet Amadeo Fleurier Virtuoso VII Retrograde Perpetual Calendar and its complexity is as deep as the name implies. Like its predecessors in the collection the Monsieur Bovet and Virtuoso V the watch is outfitted with Bovet's Virtuoso II Specialty caliber. Also like previous Virtuoso models, it is essentially three timepieces in one thanks to its convertible Amadeo case, a concept pioneered by Bovet and first introduced in 2010, which enables the wearer to change it from wristwatch to pocketwatch to portable table clock with the push of a few buttons and the use of detachable straps and fasteners. And it can actually be considered nine watches in one when you consider that in each of these forms, the Virtuoso VII offers two distinctive reversible dials.
Speedmaster pro vs 57??? Which to get first?
Having a real tough time choosing here...love them both, want them both, can only get one at this time, the other will have to wait. Leaning towards the Speedy pro, (sandwich, love to see the movement) but the 57 is so freaking cool!!! What do you all suggest? Thanks!
Is this Omega original?
Pretty sure it is, but not being able to locate it on the Omega database concerned me a bit. Contains a cal 600 and is from 1961.
Anyone know a good restorer (Omega vintage)?
Troops: A friend of mine got burned by a crappy restorer of his 25 year old Sea Master. The restorer was supposed to replace the crystal (only polished it, and not very well.....), was supposed to polish the case (scrathes and nicks everywhere) and to replace the band with a new Omega strap (replaced with a leather strap that has no Omega symbol, and is stamped Made in China. Does anyone have the name of a solid restorer? We're in Eastern Ontario, Canada, but would consider anywhere worldwide if the recommendation is solid. Many thanks all, Chris
It has been awhile but got my "first" PAM again
My collection hasn't had a Panerai for sometime now, but something about the PAM 389 made me jump back onboard - glad to be back!
