Hands-On: The IWC Mark XVIII
It was one of the most talked-about watches of SIHH 2016 and with good reason: the IWC Mark XVIII is both a great looking instrument watch and a return to long-wished-for clarity and simplicity in the Mark series of wristwatches from IWC. We went hands-on with them in Geneva; read on to find out what impression they made "in the metal."The IWC Mark XVIII is the latest version in a series of watches that go all the way back to 1944, when the first of the Mark series of watches – the Mark X – was delivered to the UK. The Mark X wasn’t a pilot’s watch, but rather, a “general service” wristwatch intended for use in all service branches. The next in the series, however, was the Mark XI, which was first delivered to the RAF in 1948, and was intended specifically for use as a navigation wristwatch. 1 OF 8 The Original IWC Mark XI The movement – IWC caliber 89 – had center seconds (as opposed to the sub-seconds
Need a part for my Breitling Crosswind
The 30 marker fell off the bezel. I was wondering if anyone on this forum can get this part for me? I can pay with Paypal. The watch is probably ten years old or more, chrono but I think the parts for the bezel are the same either way. Please message me if you can help, thanks!
Got this idea from Fr John, thanks!
After some self enabling thru lookin at the pics of Fr John's Carribean 22558000, I score one myself, new in box, from a brick and mortar shop. However I can never get the original bracelet to fit properly, it is either too loose with half link more or tight without that half link, to the extent the diver extension can self activate.I earlier ordered an off-market mesh for my PO2500 but since the original PO bracelet fitted so weel, I left her alone.I saw some of Fr John's pics of his 2255 on mesh and thought I properly can give it a try. Now my 2255 fits slightly better and I think she has this retro look with that mesh on!
Omega Seamaster Blue Ceramic
I wanted to share some photos of this beauty. The blue dial and bezel are simply spectacular. Omega has hit a home run with this as well as the black one. I may just have to get the black one!Cheers,Brian
