WATCH GIVEAWAY: Marvin Origin Gent Mechanical
Marvin is a modern watch brand with old roots. The company of today is highly inspired by the brand's legacy, and models in the Marvin Origin Collection are all about bringing the heritage of the brand on to the wrists of today. This month on watches-dealer, one lucky winner will get their own Marvin Origin Gent Mechanical watch. The Marvin Origin Gent Mechanical watch comes in a 41mm wide steel case with a classic, almost dress-style design. The simple dial is elegantly rendered, using only baton hour and minute markers. The case is attached to a brown leather strap, and inside the watch is a Swiss Sellita SW200 automatic mechanical movement. There are two versions of this Origin watch with the white dial, and the winner can choose which one they want. They are the ref. M125.13.29.75 and the ref M125.13.21.78. The difference is that one has a red seconds hand and the other has a silver seconds hand. Retail price is $830. Good luck this month. To Enter You Must: 1. Comment on this post b

Omega Seamaster Alveoles Quartz
Hello all,On checking the forum I can honestly say how impressed I am with the feedback to date.I have just been given an Omega Seamaster Alveoles Quartz (mens).I believe the watch is from 1980s. I can honestly say I know little about it except it is a two tone 18k gold plated/steel watch with a gold face with dots as hour markers and date. Two things, the watch has what appears to be a slight nick nearby the crown on the case nearby the 3 o'clock marker. Can the stainless steel case be fixed or is this normal ?Also, the luminous minute hand has slight discolouration compared to the hour hand. Can this also be resolve ?I live in Scotland, if so could anyone recommend a good repair shop.Does anyone have a rough value for one in good condition for the age.I can find very little information and have no paperwork.Even the omega website has very little to go on.Thank you for any help and assistance, it will be most gratefully received.PS I can upload a photo if required. Just ask.
AD Visit - Patek Annual Calendars
Dropped by the AD today to check out some PP Annual Calendar watches, probably my second favorite complication as I love the moonphase and practicality of the complication (my favorite complication is the minute repeater, which is on a whole different level). Both the 5205G and 5396 are truly stunning, although having just picked up the 5167R I wasn't about to walk out with another one today It's the first time I've had the chance to see the 5205G grey dial in person, which had always been my favorite version, and it didn't disappoint. I love the case lug design, but as I have been shifting towards thinner watches, the 5205 sat a bit higher than I had expected, although it will still fit easily under a shirt cuff. The 5396 with its classic calatrava design makes it more dressy, and the case is also thinner than the 5205. I'd happily take either one home, but not today. However, I didn't leave the AD empty handed, as the AD was kind enough to give me a copy of the Patek 175th Anniver
